Happiness is a way of travel, not a destination" Roy Goodman

‘The Political Reporter’ is a new media installation by Boone, NC-based artist Mark Nystrom that generates random, but intriguing statements with words found on political websites and in the media. Sources include the Obama and Romney presidential campaigns, the Democratic and Republican parties, bloggers and the news media.

‘The Political Reporter’ animates a cloud of letters and periodically makes statements. These images are screen grabs taken while ‘The Political Reporter’ was running on Election Day and the day after.

Letters from words gathered from conservative sources are colored red and ones from liberal sources are blue. ‘The Political Reporter’s’ vocabulary includes over 70,000 words, but only 300 appear on the screen at any given time. As words are used to make statements, they are replaced by randomly chosen new ones from the list of 70,000.

Windshield and rear window glass go in on Tuesday, the interior is painted and now the wiring can get started. It feels like we were dropped out on the course and had to go find the start line. I think we've now started the journey from the right starting point though.

James continues his New Zealand Famil starting from the Novotel hotel in Queenstown before driving up Cornett Peak for a day of Skiing at the Cornett Peak Alpine Resort before ending the day with a ride and dinner up Skyline Queenstown on July 26th, 2018.

... on 26 Mile, disconnecting us from civilization. You wouldn't think one bridge would be so important to the flow of things. Mary Ellen calls this "Beauty and the Beast." :o)

Continuing with more Stater posts, this is another Statersons, or Stater Bros which was divested to them by Albertsons in 1999. This store is very similar in layout to #129 in Fullerton, both of these stores receiving several remodels making them feel more like a Stater Bros than the Albertsons they once were.

Continuing my visits of local churches, this church is located in the neighboring town of Elgin. It has some beautiful stained glass windows.
