Continuing our outing along the Hells Canyon Scenic Byway we enjoyed a little detour through the Eagle Valley where we had a chance to stop and visit our friends at Eagle Creek Orchard in Newbridge We were fortunate enough to catch some of the very last apple blossoms. Everyone was busy thinning and it looks like a bumper crop of apples, pears, and apricots should be on their way to this year's Baker City Farmer's Market
The Hells Canyon Scenic Byway is a loop that encircles the Wallowa Mountains, intersecting with Interstate 84 at Baker City and La Grande.
The byway is a popular destination for group tours and independent travelers alike, and offers visitors a chance to experience small town Americana in small towns like Halfway and Newbridge, as they explore the rugged and spectacular Northeast Oregon landscape along the way.
Hwy 86 between Baker City and the Hells Canyon Dam at the bottom of the canyon is open year round providing visitors access to the deepest river gorge in North America.

Half way thru the season, and three teams sit undefeated in the York/Adams Interscolastic Athletic Association. But with the high powered offense of York High on a bye week, the other two undefeated teams in the YAIAA Division I took to the field Friday night and the winner would claim the outright spot at number one. Central York Panthers traveled to Dallastown Wildcats in Dallastown, PA and the Panthers have not lost to a York County team since 2018 and that streak would continue as they downed the Wildcats 35-21. This is another piece that had colors that really irked me..pinks and purples and black purples. Today I found this creature who will be worked on and named later. I rolled gesso over the bottom layer to prep for the creature work. Don't know if the printing part is done.
