This part of town has "old buildings". And the new ones are made to match the type of architecture. But then again what is old, what is new, what is refurbished. There is a fine line and mixture of all these. Of course preserving old materials is very difficult after centuries. Sometimes the building only look old, or "in the style of". But one comes upon old cellars and stone walls which are supposed to be old, and look it too. Apparently the historical and monuments department has strict and detailed procedures for these structures.
