Description: Dredge boat. To dig dredge ditches to drain farm land for drainage district. A slip scraper was used to dig hole in middle of field till there was enough water to float this boat. It was prefabricated and had a steam shovel in front to dig it's way toward the river. Taken into the field by wagons and put together on site. Building on back is crew quarters.

Elm Street is temporarily patched with asphalt until streetcar construction resumes on this section of the street.
I've subsequently removed one of the center grate bars to allow more air, flame through. The ember build-up below is dealt with by cracking open the mouse-hole secondary air holes at ground level.
