I was walking down Bleecker Street in New York and came across these construction workers washing up and getting ready to call it a day. They seemed to be having fun with the hose, so I quickly started snapping a bunch of shots as the guy with the bandanna saw me and starting smiling and waving at the camera. I like this one best though cos it caught the guy as he noticed me.

The past week's daily cacophony from the ground construction 13 stories down from my balcony urged me to create this video clip; I don't know know how many more weeks this ruckus will last. Throughout the city of Chongqing, there's an endless proliferation of construction projects.

Need to measure how much construction is being done by the brick field and how much destruction we are doing by brick filed....Need to measure it by the equipment being carried by the worker although it is of material carrying purpose not for the measurement!

More highway construction. This is pretty much all you see along the I10 corridor in Houston these days. It never makes it to the flickr "houston" tag rss stream. So from an outside perspective you wouldn't know it. But we live in construction delays on I-10

The nest wasn't quite ready for occupancy; there were still some gaps in the walls, though the "sock" bottom looked fully knitted. This male Bushtit had brought some stringy bits of construction material, and dove inside to deliver them.
Construction continues this winter on the Mountlake Terrace Freeway Station being built in the I-5 median. Pier supports for the pedestrian bridge, shown in the foreground, will connect the new freeway station to the existing park-and-ride. In the freeway median, elevator shaft towers and a concrete form for a storage/maintenance room is being constructed. Sound Transit is working in partnership with WSDOT to build the project.

this was taken across the street from ground zero about 2 years after the towers fell. utility work still being done on the surrounding area.
This would have had 5 exposures but my four year old niece decided to hang onto the tripod during the long exposure.Didn't seem to effect things much though.4 exposures tone mapped and finalised in PS.
Construction on the B.D. Owens Library began in 1980. In the aftermath of the devastating Administration Building fire in 1979, University officials devised a plan that called for constructing new buildings, remodeling existing ones and rebuilding what could be saved of the Administration Building. During this two-year project, HRSD and Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation are renovating Woodstock Park, including the pavilions, parking, park restroom, and playground as well as building a cutting-edge skate facility for all skill levels on top of a 5.2 million gallon offline wet weather storage tank. Building an underground tank in this area of Virginia Beach allows HRSD to safely hold excess wastewater and rain/groundwater in the system until elevated conditions in the sewer system subside. The partnership also allows VBPR to carry out significant park renovations simultaneously and share the costs with HRSD, ultimately saving taxpayer dollars.
