By some definitions, construction workers may be engaged in manual labour as unskilled or semi-skilled workers. These workers begin by attending to general tasks such as digging, cleaning, and unloading equipment. As they acquire experience, they start to specialize in particular areas - for example, roofing, pipefitting, structural work, or carpentry.
my second custom bramble.
heavily modified and all that.
my idea behind it:
"those brambles were fitted with added upward/downward/turning flexibility around the waist, a wider chest, an elongated left arm to compensate for the longer body
and a long-reach excavation arm on the right.
the excavator shovel was worn like a glove and could be used on both hands.
they were very helpful in the beginning with knocking down smaller enemy hideouts, clearing away rubble
and digging trenches but soon got very clumsy and in the end became more of a threat than anything else.
they then made a very good first line of defence...
after a while in battle these brambles used to drag their knuckles and shovels on the ground behind them or use them as a means of support when standing upright.
also, the hoses of the hydraulic system and the length of their right extremity resembled a hairy gorilla's arm,
so the Gx.5 was soon nicknamed the 'Half-Gorilla' or, more often, 'Ape Brain'...

Another construction perched on the side of Cumbre del sol. I always like to come up here when I'm over in Spain....its forever changing with new construction. It did slow down after the recession but seems to be in full swing again.
Its been a while since I managed to get the camera out ! terrible year with health but hopefully turned a corner now.
The picture shows the different forms of cuprite crystallization. The presented specimen comes from Old Dominion Mine in Arizona. In my work, among others, I deal with the study of mineralogy of copper deposits in Poland and historical locations around the world.

They are building a city from scratch down here. It's a crazy sight...
Generally I found the quality of the architecture in Dubai to be very poor, the attitude seems to be to get the buildings up as quickly as possible, and with as many bells and whistles as possible; "Look at me! Look at me!" they all seem to scream...
In fairness, the standards of construction seem high, but the quality of design is lacking; which is a common failing when speed is the main concern of developers.

Autumn in Dublin during Level 3 lockdown. The city centre was quiet and was about to get quieter. Construction on some projects seemingly ground to a halt. This used to be a great cured meats and cheese delicatessen.
Taken with a Canon A1 and a Helios 44M-4 f2 58mm lens on Fujicolour PRO 400H film.
