New Restaurant: This was the 'former site' of the old 'Santa Maria Restaurant' that was a 100-year-old wooden structure (photo-below) built on wood pilings that was heavily damaged during the last hurricane that came across the state a few years ago. They no longer are allowed to build directly on the water, so this 'code-violation' must have been allowed by 'grand-fathering' it in! I see now that they are rebuilding it atop much higher concrete pillars, and also on a concrete slab. The U.S.A. Flags add a nice touch.

The station here is undergoing its second round of construction in three years with two short high-level platforms being built. The original design for Windsor was to be similar to the stations in Wallingford, Meriden, and Berlin, but this was scaled back due to lack of funding.
