The Sasol HQ office building nearing completion in Sandton, set against stormy, Johannesburg skies. There's a huge amount of construction taking place in Sandton at the moment. Do these people know something about the ailing South African economy the rest of us don't?

Construction sites of high-rise buildings in Sri Lanka are always covered with tarpaulins. But they are not well secured. So it always looks as if it would be more like demolition than new construction

i was home alone and bored. the construction site below is beginning to get more and more interesting each day. just a few weeks ago, flashing multi-coloured lights were installed the length of all the cranes (there are 5 now). the site looks more like a discotheque by night.
since i had just received the remote trigger and tripod we ordered online (god bless taobao), i decided to give it a spin. "the voice" which normally reminds me to use this setting and that, was not around tonight. i will have to give this another shot, and remember to use low ISO setting and switch off IS. d'oh!
any other tips, please?
