Cadiz citizens are fiercely proud of 2 things. 1. Christopher Columbus departed from Cadiz on his second voyage to the Americas, and 2. the Spanish Constitution was signed here in 1812. On either side of the central figure (not identified on website), bronze figures representing peace and war. The larger sculptural groupings on each side represent agriculture and citizenship. This is only a small part of the Monument. It was magnificent.

Julian E. Zelizer, one of the pioneers in the revival of American political history, was the keynote speaker at Stockton University’s annual Constitution Day celebration Sept. 19, 2017, in the Campus Center Event Room. His topic was “Constitution Democracy in the Era of Donald Trump.”
So i have been researching online about possible fishing spots within 15 minutes or so of my home in downtown-ish Atlanta. Constitution Lakes is a Dekalb County park that there is almost no information online about. It took me a while to find the place too. Its nestled between the Atlanta Landfill and the Atlanta Metro Prison. All these factors aside, the place is really nice. A wide concrete path takes you from the parking lot about 1/3 mile to the lake, where a really nice boardwalk takes you around part of the lake. White Egrets are standing in the shallows, frogs are swimming across the water and being snatched up by bass. It seems to be a thriving habitat.

This abutment once supported an overbridge providing access across the Cadeby Colliery site and carrying an internal railway line - probably narrow gauge as it was not connected to the rest of the siding system. It is located just north of the Doncaster - Sheffield railway line, on Constitution Hill footpath which runs from Conisbrough to Cadeby.
At one time this path crossed under and over several railway lines - from south to north these were the under GCR line mentioned above, then under the colliery siding here, then further up the hill, first over the H&BR, then the DVR. It must have been a great place to watch trains from in its heyday! Now just the GCR line survives.
Notice the aesthetic care that the craftsmen builders have taken with this prosaic industrial structure, with curved end bricks being used with English Bond construction. It enhances, rather than despoils the landscape, whereas nowadays a cheap utilitarian concrete alternative would provide an ugly clash.

Constitution Village in Huntsville, AL is the location where Alabama's Constitution was created and signed. The buildings are reproductions but are built on the original foundations and are expertly constructed. The looks, the smells, the details are all there.
This is the original Ohio State Constitution and the second Ohio State Constitution. Ohio became the 17th state in the Union and the white papers on the top of the picture is the original Constitution that would give them statehood. They have redone the Ohio Constitution 2 more times, in 1851, and 1912. The brown papers at the bottom is the Constitution that was created in 1851. They are located in the Ohio Statehouse Museum Education Center inside the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus, Oh.
