Ah the console. Most of them don't work but when I can get them to work you only get one radio station. I remember this kind of thing in Eastern European hotels.
She grew a name during the /6 iteration, which was heavily influenced by maritime design, although she didn't settle on Sword of Ish'Nar until we hit the /7 and the construction of the original Ish'Nar Room (the current version of which we'll be seeing later). The lower plaque commemorates the first (and so far only) In-Character death in the history of the RP, which happened aboard the /5 variant. There's been a plaque like this in my Tardis ever since.
It's worth saying, I think, that the Tardis occupies a strange place in the life of an SL Time Lord. Part home, part transportation and part RP platform, they make for a fascinating blurring of lines.
GONE but NOT FORGOTTEN---This is a newly-made piece, of mahogany; it's both simple and elegant. Would look great paired with a tougher mirror, maybe black.
Computer, console, and Apple TV. It would have a wireless mouse and keyboard, controller, and remote for accessories.
A few years ago my friend Sara found out that an old professional audio console was being junked (think of any footage you've seen of music being produced with the big huge panels with dials, sliders, and blinking lights). I had friends join me at the recycler to try to figure out how utterly ridiculous it would be to transport this huge behemoth into my studio apartment. Instead, I ending up stripping off a bunch of interesting parts, as it was deemed utterly ridiculous.
After the fact, I've now heard interviews with people talking about running their audio through the filters on these consoles. The filter itself could have been earning $100 or more an hour if I had known to grab that part.
I've been slowly trying to figure out how to interface with these parts so I can use them as a big midi controller.

San Francisco Anti-Aircraft Defense Sector Nike-Ajax missile consoles, stored at a secret spot on Angel Island circa 2005.
I have no idea what the current status of this rare & valuable gear is. At the time, it was stored in a semi-secure facility, but the facility was starting to decay. Based on my experience with CA State Parks (2004-2006), it's possible it's still in the same spot now, with damage from leaking water, or it's possible that they put it all in a Dumpster & hauled it off the island to be scrapped. Of course, I'd like to think they understood the rarity & value, and took steps to preserve it, perhaps passing it on to a museum that would put in on display, but...
