Living paycheck to paycheck has it's consequences...

Spotted in VA on the way to IBM facility in Herndon. (No, I wasn't driving when I took this. Carpool.)

There's graffiti all over the cross, which sits up on a 7 foot rock mound. I hate that people would deface this, and break pieces off of it.

This is my "think spot"... had my first kiss here, and any time I need to seriously think my life over, I come here. I'm above everything, and can stop worry about school, or bills, or little things. I can focus.

I sat up here for 4 hours today.

I got home at 2 am this morning, after getting in the car yesterday and driving to somewhere in Missouri and turning around. That's how badly I need to think.

WWII Okinawa

I found this in my Dad's albums, I scanned it and tried to clean it up a bit. I thought it was very moving and poignant.

Too add to all the fuss and bother, it seems Big T can be brought down... by a wasp. Two weeks ago, a sting swelled his hand. Today... total emerg! The Emergency Line [a medical triage help line] called 911 while Ted swelled with hives and almost blacked out; the first two paramedics called two more (with the gurney)... Ted's daughter was coming for a visit, but had to do so in the Emergency Ward. I promised home-made spaghetti - we brought home pizza. Now, he'll carry epi... and hopefully avoid bees, wasps, and all such stingy-thingies! [Even my sharp barbs... maybe.]

Despite otherwise clear skies following a rainstorm and high velocity winds yesterday afternoon, the east benches of the Salt Lake valley looked more like a war zone this morning.

Part of this no doubt is smoke from wildfires that has since blown in; but that makes shooting off fireworks in July all that more foolish.

Last second attempt at a shot, completely out of focus and I don't think I even had the camera up to eyeline. I like it a lot though.

This was supposed to be a picture of a Varied Thrush.

Mad Mug out of buisness ~:o(

Coffee was not really good, but the place cosy. That's too bad!
