Berlin boasts two zoological gardens, a consequence of decades of political and administrative division of the city. The older one, called Zoo Berlin, founded in 1844, is situated in what is now called the "City West". It is the most species-rich zoo worldwide. The other one, called Tierpark Berlin ("Animal Park"), was established on the long abandoned premises of Friedrichsfelde Manor Park in the eastern borough of Lichtenberg, in 1954. Covering 160 ha, it is the largest landcape zoo in Europe.

Taken for Macro Mondays"Layer" theme. Each shell is about the size of a little finger nail. I suppose I could have done this last week!
Stay safe people and keep your distance from others. It's not worth the possible consequences.

As a natural consequence of the ever more complex gadgets and services, the need for some kind of software assistant arose. Going by many names and varying in functions and intelligence, Personal AIs are now a natural part of every mans day to day life. Personal AIs takes care of transactions, shopping, booking and household chores. Some people find it amusing to give their AIs personality and treat them as pets, others just use them as tools.
Personal AIs can transfer small parts of their core to machines in order to carry out various tasks. Shells are robotic machines that come in thousands of variants. Most Shells have their own governing AIs but they can also merge with Personal AIs and transfer their subroutines to them. Not many people can afford to choose other than the cheapest versions, but theoretically an AI can inhabit any Shell. Creative ways of using shells can of course be shared and downloaded by the AIs.
The Yogamabara Mechanization M-400 Multi-Purpose Shell is a commonly used type of shell. It’s very fast and agile. It gives the host AI the ability to follow it’s client around any ground based environment and has a full range of standard tools, like laser cutter, hydro spanners and standard data sockets to name a few. It’s animal-like form gives it personality and this has made Yogamabara one of the biggest manufacturers of Personal AI Shells.
Get yours today! Let your personal AI schedule a meeting and a free* testrun!
* Your AI will be analyzed and mined for suspicious behaviour, transactions and interactions.

This photo is a nice consequence of seasonal timing, it takes about 40 min for the Moon to rise to clear these hills which is enough time to gain the altitude to be clear of near horizon distortion effects and being at the Summer solstice results in the Moon rise occurring in a predawn that is well enough lit to create the blue sky but dark enough to make the Moon silver colored. The presence of Venus made it that much better, it is just too bad the occultation of Venus occurred hours before. It is also fortunate that the smoke from the huge Bighorn forest fire cleared enough not degrade the Moonrise.
31/10/2019; Had the day off from work last Thursday, and the weather was good. So then you start to think where you could all go to, only to have second thoughts with everything that you came up with. And then you just end up in good old Amsterdam...
And unrelated, but it was only when I was making my preparations for this upload that I found out the Grasshopper no longer has a coffeeshop section. For over 5 years already. XD

“I write our names on the page.
What of it, if the paper will be burned?
I write our names in the sand.
What of it, if the shore will be washed by waves?
I write our names on trees that will be cut
and benches that will be painted,
but what of it?
I will keep on writing our names
because in this world of ephemera,
You and I are the only constant.”
Iornfist came out of his cabin yelling in a loud and hideous voice “WHO STOLE MY SWORD!” He gave all his men a cold-hearted glare. They all were afraid cause they knew the consequences.
Iornfist is a brutall bloodthirsty dark green orc. He has razor sharp teeth that are yellow and have dried blood on them. He has an Iorn hook for a hand witch is how he got his name. another of his deadly details was his sword, it’s hilt was of pure gold, but the blade was the deadliest detail of it by far, the blade could through almost everything even steel!
Iornfist saw one of his men starting to run away. He grab the orc thinking he was the one who stole his sword. Iornfist threw the orc to the wall of his cabin. “I’LL RIP YOU INSIDE OUT YOU BALL OF SLI...” Then Iornfist stopped he noticed his righthand man Ramendus wasn’t there. Iornfist grabbed the closest orc next to him and threw him as hard as he could to the ground then Iornfist with his fists in the air yellled as loud as he could “RAMENDUS!!!!”. Then he grabbed a nearby orc and said in a soft but in a dangerous and angery voice “I vow I will hunt him down, until I get him or til I’am dead and when I get him I’m gonna skin him alive AND CUT HIS HEAD OFF!” Iornfist ordered his men pack up camp start hunting Ramendus. He was desperate to get his sword he would do whatever it took to get it.
“RAMENDUS” Megraw suddenly stood up recognizing the voice he heard being the same one he heard the day his family died. He went straight to his righthand man Talon and Talon’s friend Menvar. He slamed his fists down on Talon’s Table where Talon and Menvar where eating.
“I heard him! I heard Iornpaw! get ready and pack your stuff you too Talon, were going to hunt him down”
“Hey, Megraw how do you know it was him.”
“shut up! that’s an order!
They hurried and packed. They were a bit worried Megraw had never acted like this.
Talon wad a very skilled fighter and a good friend of Megraw and Menvar. He had always been fighting by Megraw’s side. He had been fighting for Megraw for 4 years never backed down to a fight. Menvar was a young and brave knight. He disliked fighting so he tried to avoid as many battles as he could.
After the packing the 3 were on their way.
“Zir Ironfizt wishez to talkzz to you yourz majezty. he’zz waiting byz the door” hissed a lizard guard to the mighty Lizkar Redeye who was in a black robe witch left his face in a shadow. “Iornfizt youzz zay, I betterz not keepz him waiting” Lizkar hissed in reply.
“Iornfizt how long haz itz been” hissed Lizkar. I don’t know 10 years, that doesn’t matter slime I need you to... AGGHHHHH” Iornfist yelled in pain.

Hello, my Flickr friends.
It has been a while since I posted any photos. I have been on a nice long holiday over the December and beginning of January and have been far away from any computers. I am back at work now for a few weeks and combined with our Electricity “Loadshedding” have not yet had the chance to edit and post some photos.
Anyway, I will try to post some of my holiday photos over the next few weeks. Starting with this “bird series”. Hope you enjoy it.
Load shedding is a real pain. Some days we only have 3 and half hours of electricity at day and then some at night. Sometimes the breaker in the substation blows up because of this switching and then you are without power for a few days waiting on repairs. While also increasing the price of electricity year on year by between 30% and 18%! So, we basically pay more for less electricity.

Of which, here, today there can be but few. It's a quiet Saturday morning and I'm throwing stones in a lake. Why wouldn't you?

Exposure as per EXIF and a stone propelled by hand. Some tidying up and a Recolour in Affinity Photo.
Why do people do things without considering the consequences, not just for themselves but for the people that care about them?
Why is it that people push others to actions that inevitabely lead to pain and suffering - but not for the asshole that prompted it?
Why is it that good people, of which there are far too little left, are taken away?
Why is it that there are days like today when I wonder why we brought our children into this shitty world?
If there is a God then he has a fucked up sense of humour.

She followed me out to shovel snow and had to suffer the consequences. :)
I'd like to say it's snowing here but in truth I threw an unpacked snowball at her and was trying to catch her reaction. I had no idea it would fall apart so beautifully.
The mouth of the river Platani is a place of great naturalistic beauty dominated by Capo Bianco cliff. It represents the first staging area for several migratory birds coming from Africa and, thanks to the diversification of the environments, it offers shelter to a luxuriant and variegated flora and, as a consequence, to a rich and heterogeneous avifauna. The reserve includes the final stretch of the river Platani (which, before flowing into the sea, forms a large bend) and the long sandy stretch of Borgo Bonsignore, bordered by a bar of low dunes..
