Avant la visite commentée de l'expo Erwin Olaf à la Sucrière, balade sur les quais du nouveau quartier de Confluence.

"In St. Louis I paused to see the fountain of fountains—Carl Milles’s ‘The Meeting of the Waters,’ a great bronze group personifying the confluence of the Missouri and the Mississippi. There under a windy sky I spent an hour marveling at the life-sized figures of river god and goddess, tritons and naiads, fishes and shells—and getting soaked by the ever-shifting spray from the fountain’s jets. Here was water to waste. Here the plenty of the country’s greatest rivers makes water a common element. My thirst was for the arid lands where water is more precious than copper or gold."

This is a park downtown that I know as Confluence Park, because Fountain and Monument Creeks meet nearby. It's been renamed to America the Beautiful Park, which makes me ill. Yes, the song was written here, in the land of Pikes Peak.

Anyhoo, this monster structure is the Julie Penrose Fountain, which gushes water and twirls in the summer.

Podgorica (/ˈpɒdɡɒrɪtsə/ pod-gorr-ee-tsə;[2] Montenegrin Cyrillic: Подгорица; pronounced [pǒdɡorit͡sa], lit. "[area] under the small hill") is the capital and largest city of Montenegro. The city was also called Titograd (Montenegrin Cyrillic: Титоград, [tîtoɡraːd] ) from 1946 to 1992 when Montenegro was part of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY).

Podgorica's favourable position at the confluence of the Ribnica and Morača rivers and the meeting point of the fertile Zeta Plain and Bjelopavlići Valley has encouraged settlement. The city is close to winter ski centres in the north and seaside resorts on the Adriatic Sea.
