Very nice condition brakes including levers and center pulls. They've been sitting around for a while and were only dusted off for the pictures, I'm sure a little polish will make them shine nicely. The hoods are in great condition. Note the mismatched brake pads, the black ones will be replaced with red ones.

When you are living alone, it can also be difficult to maintain your own health, especially if you do not receive any medical attention. Health insurance is often not available, and it is possible to get very little coverage at all. It is also very easy to miss payments on your health insurance, which can lead to a lapse in coverage and a dramatic increase in your premiums. If you are living alone and are having health problems, the lack of health insurance may be a factor in your own demise.
The lack of any social interactions can also have a negative effect on the solo lifestyle. You may feel alone and unable to participate in activities that interest you. As a result, you might skip workouts and eat less when you feel depressed or guilty about your loneliness. Exercise can be a great way to feel healthier and to enjoy life again. The lifestyle is similar to that of someone who is committed to a weight-loss program, and in some cases can be more difficult to stick with. If you exercise regularly but can’t afford to purchase workout equipment, or if your home is too small for an elaborate workout room, you may have to give up some of your workout options. It’s important to have a workout plan that includes your favorite activities and can be affordable.
There are many legal issues to consider as well. Some people find that their state has rules that govern the use of this lifestyle. You should be aware of these and make sure that you always have coverage in place. You may also find that you have to pay taxes on your lifestyle every year because of social security and other types of taxes. This is something that many people overlook, but is necessary for paying the bills and being legal.
Solo lites usually aren’t that great at getting out of bed in the morning. When people are new to the lifestyle, they tend to fall back into a sedentary routine. This can keep them from living a very busy and active life. You may want to take a few classes such as yoga or dancing to get your blood pumping and help you feel more energized. Many people also report problems with insomnia and moodiness.

Lysander V9312 (G-CCOM) has been owned by the Aircraft Restoration Company since 2003 and was restored to flying condition by a team of full time and volunteer engineers. It was built by Westlands during 1940 and is believed to be the only solely Westland built Lysander to be restored to airworthy condition in the UK, the others having incorporated Canadian built components.
The aircraft was taken on charge by the RAF at 33 M.U. at Lynham on 4th January 1941 and subsequently served with 613, 225 and 4 Squadrons.
On 26th April 1942, whilst serving with 4 Squadron, V9312 suffered Category B accident damage to a wing. This was repaired at Fairfield, Watford and whilst there it was converted to target tug status. The aircraft was then sent to Liverpool, from where it sailed to Canada arriving on 18th October 1942.
Whilst in Canada V9312 served with the Commonwealth Air Training Plan at Mossbank, Saskatchewan, where it last flew on 30th October 1944.
V9312 was struck off charge in October in 1946 and later came into the possession of Harry Wherreat at Assiniboa, Saskatchewan along with several other aircraft. The Lysander was then sold to Kermit Weeks at Polk City, Florida who planned to restore the aircraft but no work was done. It was acquired by ARCo in unrestored condition and arrived at Duxford on 4th June 2003.
After 15 years of restoration, at 6pm on the evening of 8th August 2018, the ‘Lizzie’s’ nine cylinder Bristol Mercury Engine burst into life for the first time since 30th December 1944.
From this short engine run we learnt how the engine was behaving and set about making the necessary adjustments to things such as fuel mixture, which were finely tuned until just right.
Once the engine setup had been completed, and a few personal touches in the form of a roundel red spinner and wheel covers had been added, the Lysander took to the skies on 28th August 2018.
Resplendent in her 225 Squadron Livery, eight days after the Lizzies first flight, the test schedule was complete and she was ready for her first trip, which was down to the Goodwood Revival Festival 2018.

Driving south from Seville across dry lands we came across an empty castle. No fee to enter, in fact no one to collect any money. Just great views from the top of the tower.
This afternoon, I decided to do a series of photos in which the subjects were thrown way out of focus. Because my point-and-shoot has auto-focus only, I had to focus on something extremely close to the camera (often my leg) with the self-timer on, then frame the shot while the timer counted down.
The blurriness of this set is — for the most part — as created by the above technique. A few, however, came out a bit too sharp for my liking so I used Picasa2's soft-focus feature to get to what I had envisioned.
In almost all shots, I increased the contrast; in a few, I "warmified" the overal image.
