In 1954 Quiet Heet Mfg. Co. made air conditioners under the 'Emerson' label as well as their 'Quiet Kool' label. This is the front cover of a 1954 Emerson service manual. Emerson purchased Quiet Heet in 1954 to manufacture air conditioners for them.

Maserati Ghiblis show up less frequently than many other classics, but that's because there are not many of them. The Ghibli with its 4-cam V-8 engine, quartet of downdraft Weber carburetors, superb suspension, powerful brakes and sublime Giugiaro-designed, Bertone-built coachwork is one of the greatest Italian GTs.
This 1970 Maserati Ghibli has 4.7 litre V-8 power and air conditioning. It doesn't appear to have been restored, just treated to a high quality repaint in red and new parchment leather upholstery at some time in the past which has been sympathetically maintained while see a little use.
One of the most beautiful GTs ever conceived, its bodywork is a masterpiece of style, balance, design and aerodynamic efficiency. The design and generous interior room benefits from the proportions which its compact V-8 engine permitted. Light, crisp, unadorned and simple, it is a prime example of form and function merging to achieve true design excellence. The 4-cam Maserati V-8 gives it 170 mph performance to match.
A Ghibli will never be upstaged by a Ferrari Daytona either on the road or on a show field and this sympathetically maintained, very presentable Ghibli needs nothing for its owner to appreciate its visual appeal and exceptional performance.

The present day Henry House is a replica of the home occupied by Judith Henry during the First Battle of Manassas. The original house was completely destroyed by Confederate troops the day after the Battle of First Manassas. Henry Hill was named after Dr. Issac Henry. During the battle the house was inhabited by Judith Carter Henry, the widow of Dr. Henry. After Confederate and Union soldiers began entering the house on the contested property, the children of Judith Henry attempted to remove her from harm's way. But he 85 year old Judith Henry was in poor physical condition due to advanced age and requested to be taken back to her home and placed in her bed.
During the battle, I Battery (Ricketts' Battery) 1st U. S. Artillery had moved 6 Parrot guns onto Henry Hill close to the Henry House. Confederate sharpshooters in and around the Henry House began firing on the artillerymen as they unhitched the artillery from horses. Captain Ricketts gave the order to fire into the house and Judith Carter Henry was mortally wounded when a artillery round ripped through the house and removed part of a foot and caused several injuries which caused her death later that day.

CEA Project Logistics played host to the KONECRANES Generation C launch at their Free Trade Zone Warehouse in Laem Chabang Thailand.
The event, organised by the KC Lift Trucks division of KONECRANES drew a multinational crowd from all over Asia with more than 100 guests in attendance eager to see the next generation in lift trucks. Before the grand unveiling Patrik Lundback Regional Sales & Service Director opened proceedings by welcoming all guests and thanking them for their interest in Generation C, further adding “The Generation C lift truck is a collection of refinements and bold new technologies that improve our lift trucks in ways that make them safer, cleaner, quicker and more cost effective. We are very happy to be the first region outside of Europe and North America to launch the Generation C.”
The C series lift truck includes a completely new driver’s cabin with first-in-class features to enhance safety, comfort and productivity. The C series also boasts increased reach stacker lifting performance, an enhanced TRUCONNECT® remote monitoring system and improved engine performance. The C series is equipped with common platform diesel engines that meet emission legislation levels EU Stage II / EPA Tier 2, EU Stage IIIA / EPA Tier 3, or EU Stage IV / EPA Tier 4f. These new engines are in general several decibels more silent and can save up to 6% in fuel consumption over previous ones.
After the formalities a sumptuous buffet lunch was provided for all allowing some time for networking and the forging of new friendships. After lunch a presentation was given about Generation C to showcase the state of the art systems developed by KONECRANES which are featured in their new line of vehicles. As the unveiling grew near a traditional Thai war dance began increasing in tempo until the curtain was dropped and the guests got their first glimpse of a Generation C Reach Stacker, the unveiling was accompanied by a fantastic light and smoke show. As the smoke cleared the guests got up close and personal by being allowed on to the vehicle and into the futuristic cabin.
The new driver’s cabin offers operators class-leading spaciousness and superior visibility made possible by an even more ergonomic layout with integrated seat-mounted controls. The industry’s first 7” touch screen color display provides full truck monitoring including eco-drive, fuel management and driver login. The touch screen monitor also supports an optional integrated rear-view camera and tire pressure monitoring.
The CEA Facility was chosen as a venue due to their state of the art Air Conditioning systems installed at their Free Zone Warehouse in Laem Chabang, although temperature outside was a sweltering 36 degrees centigrade all the guests inside were enjoying a lot cooler weather!

I bet people just loved walking out of their rooms and having condensation drip on their heads (from the air conditioners). These must have been the cheap rooms...or the rooms used for, um, indecent activities.

This is an old air conditioner at alcohol. The condenser is badly damaged. The air is sucked in the fan and pushed out of the condenser. It was run job when I took the photos. There is barely any airflow going through the poor thing. My girlfriend had one like this she thinks it was an Airtemp but she doesn't remember. Her uncles "experimented" with it. They smashed it to pieces if anybody knows who made this or when it was made please comment below. This is the first time I've ever seen something like this. And sorry this is kinda blurry.
