a few days ago, i shot camel's hump from home and in the valley below it there was a cloud of condensed moist air. Well on my drive home, I got to ride through that cloud - this one formed by a just pasted thunderstorm.
I took all my fabric out of the closet and piled it onto this metal rack, separated by fabric type. It looked this good for a little while.

It was kind of ok.
AC condensing radiator mounted in front of the coolant radiator.
The decision was made to upgrade the radiator to a larger aluminum cored unit which also has the benefit of accepting 12 inch radiator fans.
Casio MT-40, Casio MT-46, Casio PT-80 and Yamaha PS-3. I let the camera pic f8.0 which softens the image a bit, oops. f5.6 seems to give the crispest pictures in good light but there was a bit too much light around when I took this. Must get a barrel and some ND filters. Or maybe just buy a DSLR, which would probably be cheaper!
Ca phe sua da or cafe sua da (Vietnamese: cà phê sữa đá) is a unique Vietnamese coffee recipe. Literally, ca phe sua da means "iced milk coffee". Ca phe sua da can be made simply by mixing black coffee (typically a dark French roast, often with chicory) with about a quarter to a half as much sweetened condensed milk and then pouring it over ice. The coffee is traditionally brewed with a small drip filter into a cup containing the condensed milk. The condensed milk and coffee are stirred together and then poured over the ice. Ca phe sua nong (Vietnamese: cà phê sữa nóng) - literally, "hot milk coffee" - is made by excluding the ice.
By the late 1990s, Vietnam had become the world's #2 coffee producer, after Brazil.

A trio of South African Railways Class 25NC 4-8-4s alongside the massive coaling stage with its inclined ramp. Left to right are 3442, 3446 & 3438, all built by Henschel of Kassel in 1953. 3446 is blowing off vigorously while the driver of 3438 has just opened the regulator and with the cylinder taps open she is moving away.
Due to the desert conditions on the Great Karoo the Class 25s when built, between 1953 & 55, were fitted with condensing tenders to conserve water. Since the Capetown line was electrified south through Touws River the problem was no longer as serious and most of the condensing engines and tenders were rebuilt by SAR becoming Class 25NC - non-condensing. The tenders, original or cut down, were very long carried on 6 wheel bogies. Having said that these three were actually built originally as 25NC rather than rebuilt as such. Note the "normal" EW1 tender on 3446.

I recently found this pic after 5 years, and i think it was toast with condensed milk in between (nai yow do) but then that would mean it's a dessert.. but why is there a piece of tomato there then??
For my eldest son's Social Studies project, he had to make a dish from Latin America. This cookie recipe from Argentina included a strange filling between two cookies, made by boiling a can of condensed milk for three hours. The milk transforms into caramel, and I hear it is quite tasty!
here's a cut and paste from last years "halo" shot.....
from what i have read, the "halo" effect occurs at very high speeds when large amounts of air pressure (produced by the fast moving plane) causes the moisture in the air to spontaneously condense around the jet....causing the halo.
The jet was moving at over 650mph according to the show announcer. Panning along with these jets isnt easy...one of these days i will get a shot of this that i am 100% happy with....

This type is 48 pt. Abbey Condensed, produced on the Monotype Super Caster; the matrices are not well-fitted and have some flash. The type size is almost too large for the 48 pt. body, being engraved prior to the standardization of sizes around 1880. As shown the cap "O" overhangs the body slightly on the top side, hence the need for a trimming device. In the old days, this process was manual and called "hand rubbing".

Temperature in Xiamen last week was rather low. When we sleep, the window of bedroom was closed. On the 2nd morning, the breath air with moisture condensed on the cold window. The sun shined through the moisture and formed a nice texture.
All nice and condensed into a small cup with 1/2 inch gap were parts from An Unexpected Gathering. As the only part on the wall that had my attention was the 6x5 foliage, I got a hookup with a recently broken set and knocked myself out. Needless to say I was really happy as I didn't want all my filler to be TrRed 1x1 tile ;)
