The new concourse at Kings Cross station, opened in 2012. It replaced the ugly and supposedly temporary buildings on the front of the station - built in 1972 but used for 40 years.

The architecture is impressive and compliments the original train sheds nicely:

The Concourse Building, opened in 1928 is one of the art deco icons of Toronto's financial district. The mosaic above the doors was created by J.E.H. MacDonald, one of the founding members of the Group of Seven artist's collective. See closeup detail of mosaic at:

The Concourse's site was acquired in competition in the Urban Redevelopment Authority's 8th Sales of Sites programme in 1979. The project commenced in 1981 as the Hong Fok Centre but construction stopped when Singapore's economy was hit by a recession in the mid-1980s.

In 1987, the architectural firm Architects 61 and architect Paul Rudolph re-designed the complex. They retained what was already constructed, and revamped the remainder in order to accommodate new programmatic requirements.

Built at a cost of S$248.1 million and to a height of 175 metres (574 ft) for its office tower, The Concourse was completed on 5 February 1994.

I leave for college in less than a month, so might as well revisit some of my original favorite spots.

This is the North Concourse of Chicago Union Station. In addition to hosting Metra's Milwaukee District North Line, Milwaukee District West Line, and North Central Service, it also hosts Amtrak's Hiawatha Service and Empire Builder. As you probably have gathered by now, there's a lot to see in the North Concourse, especially on weekdays. Back when I was getting my start in the railfan hobby four years ago, the North Concourse was one of my favorite places to explore; I'd always rush there after disembarking my inbound train at Ogilvie to see what kind of stuff was parked there. Back in the day, my sought after catches were freshly-repainted MP36PH-3C locomotives, and I'd find great joy in photographing those (with my iPhone SE, mind; this was long before I had a DSLR).

Today, the lay of the land has drastically changed with Metra. F59PHI's and special-livery MP36's are the sought-after items, new locomotives are on the horizon, and much much more. Meanwhile, I've been riding Metra less and less, thanks to owning a car and holding a driver's license. However, my love for riding the rails is still as prominent as ever, and from time to time I find myself riding the rails just for the novelty of it. Whether it's to see some new stations, visit some new towns, or just to enjoy the simple pleasure of riding the rails, I always find myself back at the North Concourse at one point or another. And when I do, I can't help but be reminded of what once was, but even in light of that, it's all much of the same. Here we see one of the newest additions to Metra's fleet, F59PHI number 80, on the point of what would be my outbound MD-N train for this evening.

Sunday afternoon in Lockdown 3 and Brighton station is virtually deserted. Travellers seem to be following the covid rules and only doing essential travel.

The Music Concourse is an open-air plaza within Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Flanking the oval-shaped concourse are the M. H. de Young Memorial Museum and the California Academy of Sciences.

Originally excavated for the California Midwinter International Exposition of 1894, it underwent a significant redesign after the fair in order to be repurposed as a venue for public gatherings centered on music performances.

This is one of 2 concourses handling all international arrivals and departures at San Francisco Airport which opened in 2000. This concourse in particular houses United Airlines' and it's Star Alliance partners' international operations.
