You will not need me to tell just how cold it felt to stand here not far from the main road. The weather was closing in but I could still see Beinn Dearg(3556ft) and Cona' Mheall(3208ft).

Driving throught the puna de Atacama desert was an increadible experience. Some landscapes felt extra terrestial.
VX-9 "The Vampires" is the US Navy's air test and evaluation unit based out of China Lake, NV. 166791/XE-260 is one of the many F/A-18Fs they have on charge. It was nice that this usually publicly shy unit would attend CONA in force.
Beinn Dearg on the left, Cona' Mheall on the right, with the end of Loch Glascarnoch bottom right. Travellers from Inverness to Ullapool wil recognise this view.

La linea ferroviaria tra Adria e Venezia Mestre in concessione a Sistemi Territoriali, nel 2006 aveva ancora qualche piccola stazione conservata esattamente come molti anni fa.
The railway line between Adria and Venice Mestre (Italy) in concession to Sistemi Territoriali, in 2006 still had some small stations preserved exactly as many years ago.
LE DUE CRINIERE BIONDE.
Nell'oasi dell' Isola della Cona su prenotazione si possono effettuare svariate attività equestri con i bianchi cavalli Camargue che vivono allo stato brado nella Riserva. L'escursione classica di visita ai pascoli dura circa due ore e permette di raggiungere la foce del fiume Isonzo, attraversando una moltitudine di ambienti diversi. Le passeggiate fino alla foce sono adatte a tutti, principianti ed esperti, in quanto il percorso è ben conosciuto dai cavalli che stanno tutti assieme come membri dello stesso branco.
E' anche possibile partecipare a corsi di equitazione con lezioni per principianti ed avanzati, che si svolgono all'interno del maneggio della riserva, circondato dal verde e dagli stagni, nel quale i versi di uccelli ed anfibi fanno da cornice alla lezione.

Quasi del tutto pulito (salvo alcune piccole tag sul muso rimosse in post) questo ATR 120, in arrivo a Cona Veneta come R91571 Mestre - Adria.
Looking into a sunlit Coire Granda from the Am Faochagach ridge to the south-east. Beinn Dearg is somewhere up in the cloud to the left, with the ridge on the right leading up to Cona' Mheall's clouded summit.
