Is this a good place to use a computer? Why or why not? Of course, it's a computer lab with all resources at your fingertips, printing, scanning, Microsoft Office, tape, staplers
The computer a CIA analyst would have used 20-30 years ago. Since it dealt with Top Secret data, the entire computer housing is shielded so errant data couldn't be picked up from outside spies. They later figured out they could get the same effect by shielding an entire building and then just use regular computers.
The Cintiq really inspired me to finally revamp my work area, it was getting really oppressive and claustrophobic. This is the before shot, -after- I tidied up. -_-;; (and a bad camera phone photo too...)
First time building a computer for myself. Installed OSX... because I can.

I decided to do some serious cleaning of my house after finding mushrooms growing in my bathroom (don't even ask). So I pulled out the computer cart and found his mess of wires....what on earth is all of this stuff???

This machine has been sitting in the cold dank garage for 6 months and
has grown mould on its case and presumably its motherboard as well. It
fails to apply power to itself. We are warming it up and drying it out
in front of the radiator. Watch this space.
Some of the computers were pretty wild, and a few had beacons on them. Maybe it's a safety thing like the red beacon on an aircraft? I forgot to ask.
One other thing, I never tuck my computer in before putting it in sleep mode. This guy must really love his computer.

Marvin is a lot faster than Jasper. My wife named him. When Marvin is done he will be controllable from a web application and will have a video feed. The servo that is on him now will control the camera up and down.
Right now he can just avoid objects with his SRF05 and is able to be controlled with a radio remote. The transmitter and reciever were only 10 bucks at walmart. lol. Just bought a toy car and gutted it for the parts. :D
Right now the radio receiver is not controlling the motor controller directly. It is connected to the analog pins on the Picaxe and controlled programaticly.
