At least during this pandemic I have at last taken a step into the creative world of photoshop - tentative steps but enjoying it especially since i have had PS languishing on my computer untouched for years!!

Finished my assignments just in the nick of time :)

However, just 2 nights before it was due, I nearly gave myself a heart-attack because my computer shutdown unexpectedly and auto-safe Word did not actually "safe." I was 75% into finishing but luckily it was recovered in the history/documents tab :D

Happy fence friday and have a great weekend :)

Atelier des lumières

Paris, Fr

The theme is CHIP, they said.

My mind immediately thought "potato chip" however that seemed too obvious so I thought more widely. Computer chip also seemed a bit obvious, however my husband had these little gems with 'legs' to create shadows, so I jazzed them up with red and blue lights. That was fun.

7DWF Wednesdays: Macro or Close up. Honored to get Grandpa's "Slipstick". There is a similar Lawrence 10-B model in the Smithsonian. Circa 1938-1947 & sold for25¢. americanhistory.si.edu/collections/search/object/nmah_121...

Leaving the shadows and paddling in to the sunrise illuminated fog cover on the water. Decided to silhouette the paddler. Hopefully more foggy mornings ahead as the leaves change later.

THANKS SO ALL WHO FAVE OR COMMENT, IT IS TRULY APPRECIATED. DUE TO COMPUTER ISSUES I MAY BE ABLE TO RESPOND TO ALL COMMENTS.

Prompt: Oil painting of a busy street in Paris during World War 1, realistic style inspired by the works of Claude Monet and Alfred Bierstadt, intricate details of buildings and people, muted colors to depict the somber atmosphere of war, long shot perspective, studio lighting --ar 16:9 --v 6.0

Thank you all for the visit, kind remarks and invites, they are very much appreciated! 💝 I may reply to only a few comments due to my restricted time spent at the computer.

My computer :)

My sweet new computer setup. A little present to myself for graduating college and getting a "real" job. Good thing I have that job with the price tag that came with this toy.

While I was busy on my flickr site yesterday, my husband brought me this cocktail..........

I already started drinking from it, when I decided to take a picture........... and yes............sitting here will never be the same again......!!!LOL

It's only a butt view, but I believe this maybe a harvestman (Opilione), and to be honest, I did not see this model unti I got home on the computer. A 2-image, handheld focus stack of a bunch of fungi growing out of a rotting log.

PLEASE: Do not post any comment graphics, they will be deleted. See info in my bio.

Sometimes people ask me how many MOCs I have together at once.

It used to be just two or three. But since my collection has grown, I can keep more together for longer, so the slacker in me tends to do just that. There are fourteen on the desk right now, but that doesn't include my NCS MOC and several MOCs awaiting disassembly at my in-law's place.

Hangar 21 has worked out really well, as you can see. I've got four fighters crammed in there right now (three are the contest prizes). The other is a redux of the Nemo, which still needs some work.

The possibility of losing this competition simply does not compute to me. While the seed part isn’t the most compatible this computer supports every input you need!

My second build for Iron Forge 2026 round 3. The seed part is the motor thingy piece. There are two in this MOC taking advantage of the intakes similar shape to an HDMI port.

Not entirely happy with presentation and the integration of editing on the frog photo but I'm learning. I did manage to sneak in a piece from one of my top scoring MOCs last year!

fall is here and I'm going through old and new pics that I never processed. New computer can handle processing. I'm not sure this bridge is still in the preserve. This areas has been closed off while they revamp the area. It's nice so far.

One of my favorite films is the 1983 movie War Games with Matthew Broderick. He plays a boy next door computer hacker who unwittingly starts the wheels turning for a potential World War III. Below is the scene that sets it all in motion. I've watched the movie so many times but this scene is still chilling to me. For those who have never seen it, Joshua is a US Dept of Defense computer.

Joshua: Shall we play a game?

David Lightman: Oh!

Jennifer: I think it missed him.

David Lightman: Yeah. Weird isn't it? [typing] Love to. How about Global Thermonuclear War?

Joshua: Wouldn't you prefer a nice game of chess?

David Lightman: [typing] Later. Let's play Global Thermonuclear War.

Joshua: Fine

This is where I post from

I just got this laptop about a week ago and I love it! My parents bought this for me for school. lol, this will be one of the only times I will say this in my life...But...Thank you, school! It's a Windows 10 and it an awesome computer. It cost about $500, but I only contributed about $200 towards it.

This is my very first computer I have ever owned. For YEARS I had to use my dad's old computer to do everything, and it was so old that it couldn't update anymore and it was SUPER slow. Now I can do everything I've always wanted to do. I can play all of these popular games that everyone always talks about. Minecraft, Garry's Mod, Team Fortress (Just to name a few). I am very grateful to my parents for not only this, but my first phone that I got about a month ago, also for school. So...Um...Thanks parents! XD

Hamburg Sternschanze

A replacement for my old home-built computer, which became too slow as photo software became more advanced. Captured with D780 and Nikkor 18mm lens in a dark room (no light except that produced by the interior of the computer) using high ISO and much raising of shadows in editing.

Photographed at the semi-abandoned DC general hospital. The office was fully covered by moss, I find it very beautiful.

Nicht meiner - Not mine

I came across this photo at work today of a friend and former colleague working intently on his portable computer! Circa late 1980's I believe. I wonder if its operating system was DOS or Windows. There's no mouse nor some other cursor control device that I can see.

I also considered the title "Macro Chip."
