Got this little gem on eBay for about $50. Fresh install of the OS and works beautifully. To be honest, it's my favorite laptop now -- even though it dates back to 1998.

I'm back in London, after an overnight flight from New York, where it was beautifully warm and comfortingly familiar.
So befuddled I was from lack of sleep on the plane and the uncharacteristicly warm weather, I took a lack lustre shot of the netbook as I was attempted to figure out why it died on me week 3 in America (loose battery connections, blast it).
Bah.
sadly, most of these stickers have gone the way of things that rub off when touched. also, way to turn date stamping on and not even make it the RIGHT date. i'm awesome.
Japanese school children using a computer. Eventually they would learn to dominate the technology world! I wonder where these kids are today. From "Microcomputers at Work." This picture is being posted as reference. I believe this book is out of print (it's for sale on Amazon.com for $.14)

This is a composite of two shots. I held the camera in one hand and then the other and composited them together in Photoshop.
There is only one light -- a Canon 430 EX (on manual, full power, 105mm) two feet to the left and pointing up at the ceiling. It also had a Honl white card to kick light sideways across my hands. It was triggered with a Yongnuo RF-603c

Change your Leopard's Login Screen background:
- Go to: Macintosh HD > System > Library > CoreServices
- Locate the file "DefaultDesktop.jpg"
- Create a JPEG image matching the size of it.
- Replace the file with your newly created image (You might want to rename the old one first, eg: "xDefaultDesktop.jpg").
- Restart your Mac.
