This is the air side piston from an 8 inch New York Air Brake air compressor. It is new old stock and contains writing on it denoting the part number (part 11).

The steam piston from the 8 SP. This was a new old stock air compressor. It still had handwriting on the piston. Unlike later air compressors, the steam side piston and piston rod are one piece.
