I ran across these photos on my old ThinkPad a few days ago.
A rack of refrigeration compressors at a supermarket. This is what keeps things cool and frozen. This type of equipment is located either at the rear, on the side or on the roof of a store. Pipes send the refrigeration to wherever it's needed; reach in cases, deli cases, produce cases, tub cases, ice machines, freezer cases, ect. The compressors kick on and off as needed in a somewhat random order. A rack can still keep things cool even if a couple of compressors fail.... Depending on how many compressors total on the rack.
This is the type equipment I used to work on. I think I spent more time on the road than working. I still do HVAC/R and electrical but I don't have to live on the road anymore and work long long hours.
This was a junky car at the install bay at best buy but its trunk had more value than the car itself

Railfan trip on the Providence and Worcester (plus a bit of Northeast Corridor) at the start of fall foliage time. A lot of shots through windows that could have used a bit of cleaning, but beautiful scenery and a good time was had by all.
Compressor expansion in a station is a common event. Notice the sound attenuation in the ceiling. IVS was able to reproduce the same ventilation package from the original build. IVS has an extensive archive of jobs that have been sold since the companies was started.

Here's what's under the top plate of a CA monitor top. I wonder how many people know that the cabinet top is also used as part of the condenser - there's a semi circular profile tube running around the periphery between the condenser and float valve.
It will be easy to replace the wiring now. It has gone brittle and has numerous cracks in the insulation. The oil heater wire insulation had worn through where it was touching one of the copper tubes.
The compressor is held to the top plate by three tack welds. One has broken.
Next step is to clean all the surface rust off, re do the broken weld, and repaint.
