Full Moon Over the Platte River (Photo Composite) - Last week's full moon was the perfect addition to the magic of the Sandhill Crane migration. This photo artwork combines two images taken on the Crane Trust property in Wood a River, Nebraska. Approximately 500,000 Sandhill Cranes have been stooping at the Platte River during the migration to their breeding grounds.

This is a composite of a blue hour image from the Bristol Cone Pine Forest and then 10 images of the stars shot later and layered for noise. Definitely worth the effort and cold temps for the final result.. I hope you think so too !

9/26/19 - I have to admit that I was surprised and humbled by the reaction to this image. I've only ever had one other image make to the "Explore" section, and I was totally surprised when this one did. Go figure.

"Inspire” 2020

Did you lose your words young one?

Writer’s block, loss for words, language barriers and failure to understand each other are topics that I think about often. As a matter of fact, writer’s block and loss for words are two things plaguing me right now. 2020 has been one heck of a year with so much uncertainty, change and growth for humanity.

It has given me an opportunity to let go of some things that no longer serve me but it has also silenced me in a way. I have always felt like a very vocal person and have tried to use my art and writings to uplift people. But right now, the inspiration to write just isn’t coming to me and it scares the heck out of me.

What if I lose my ability to channel inspiring messages through my art? What if nothing else comes to mind? What if no one cares? Or worse, is listening?

I believe there is a time to listen and a time to speak. I have been listening a lot but now I feel like my power to speak has been blocked and it feels crippling. Releasing a work of art without a piece of writing feels incomplete to me and I have a lot of art ideas but not a lot to say.

Do you ever feel blocked like this?

Happy Autumn from Fotodiox! Four image composite

Thought I'd try this cropped out (for full image see previous), my wife's suggestion :D. It brings more emphasis to the mountains I think, which is what I want

I shot this over a year ago right after I turned 20 years old. I eventually ended up taking down the image because of how unhappy I was with how the very first edit came out. This week I was invited to join another photo sharing site, Ubersnap, and have been going through and through every single one of my photos. I came across this one in my files and thought I would have another go at editing it. It always amazes me how after some time away from a photo it can alter the way you look at it and make it the image you dreamed of it being.

Have lots of fun creating this weekend fellow photogs! (-:

This was my first attempt at focus stacking and making composite images. I'm pretty happy with it.

The weather was so amazing today. There was a light drizzle and fog under a cloudy day the whole time. The weather was absolutely amazing to be able to create in.

Days like this one were absolutely wonderful. I live for days like this one.

Happy new year! May your path lead you exactly where you are meant to be.

Apart from my Wife, two daughters, my beloved Labrador (featured in my photo stream) and Family here are two items that I am passionate about. Photography and UK Railways. This weeks composite image was easy to create.

Three images two photo stacked for the camera and one stock photo for the train.

I hope I have done myself justice.

Martyn.

Struggled with this one a bit. I'm not sure how obvious it is that the book is actually floating in the air? Shame on me for picking that exact spot to shoot the picture. Can't blame anyone else but myself :)

This is the image I shot for Concept Collaboration's February theme, "Spiral".

I wanted to challenge myself extra while creating this. I used a mixture of natural and faux lighting to shoot the image. The post processing in its self took 1.5 hours and was over 50+ frames that I ended using out of 100+ that I shot. I have come to really love extensive and intense composites like this. I am teaching myself new things about my shooting techniques, editing techniques, and personal creative style. This year I really want to concentrate on stepping out the box, out of my comfort zones, and growing more and more as an artist.

This image was so much fun to work on from start to finish. I cannot wait to create more images like this in the future. I also will be having a speed edit come out soon for this image as well!

I’m here with the first photo of 2022. For a long time, I was complaining about not being able to find balance between my business life, photography life and private life. In this imbalance, it was always the photography part that lost the game. In the last period, ideas multiplied, but there was no action. For example, the idea of this photo you see is from July 2021. It belongs to the vision that I drew after my first lucid dream experience. If you are looking for an answer to the question of what is a lucid dream, I explained it in detail on my YouTube channel. You can find the link in my bio. I will also post the behind the scenes and speed editing video of this photo on YouTube. I’ll be happy if you subscribe and support my channel.

Explored a new location for this image. I was on a mission to find that abandoned wheel barrel thing behind me. A lot of other beautiful spots to explore here.

The sea has been beating against this rock for thousands of years, shaping it into the "mushroom-like" appearance it has today.

I have been trying to achieve a surreal, levitation image with a mattress for quite some time now. And it was so lovely to have time to shoot a concept again. xx

I got just about snowed in when I was heading out to shoot in the white out snow when I decided it would probably be a better idea to not brave the scary weather.

I have been wanting to shoot with new lights I recieved and indoors. Finally being able to string together a concept, I created this little piece to test out the new elements I was expierimenting with in my art.
