One of my favorite places to shoot in the catskills. The abandoned and weathered hotel. Rusty, dusty and grimy. Great texture and character.

Xantara is a desert spirit, who's name means "protector of the earth" This was inspired by the desert landscape I have moved to in the past 4 months, which I find beautiful and even a little mysterious.

Have you ever wondered why certain things just don't work out or seem to go up in smoke? I am a believer that everything happens for a reason – sometimes, I admit, it is a hard belief for me to accept. But again, things happen for a reason, just like this piece. While I am not sure what the purpose is, I have accepted it and moved forward with creating it.
The next stop for NASA. One of the themes of the Mars program has been to follow the water, and the reason the theme was to follow the water is we know on Earth that wherever there is water, regardless of other environmental extremes, whether it's at the volcanic trenches in the ocean or even up in the Arctic, no matter how cold or hot, where there's water there's always been various signs of life. <- Goldstein of NASA
