The intent of this self-portrait was to capture how I was feeling about my mother not recognizing my birthday. My birthday is the day before hers.
She has chosen not to be in my life. She hasn't made any effort to know my beautiful daughters. She knows nothing of my accomplishments, dreams, hopes, or desires. I honestly don't know why, I think I'm a cool person to know. I wrestle with what it all means.

Fog on Chincoteague Island, VA. My lens struggled to focus in fog so thick, it was nearly a complete whiteout. It was really creepy how the fog rolled over us with its icy fingers against the warm air.
This sweet fur baby is 10 years old. Being wrapped up in his Santa coat made him all warm and sleepy. :)
