Bon, la culotte blanche est dangereusement proche du centre (mais c'est souvent comme ça avec les culottes, non).
Poem.
Sometimes, just sometimes, reality can exceed imagination.
Rarely, a moment is witnessed that requires a stern pinch, just to check that we are compos mentis.
Yes, and here……………. is such a moment.
So perfectly balanced is this scene, that maybe, it is all a dream.
That golden glow in the sky and the gently lapping bay
accompanied by the scream of scavenging gulls.
The stark, crisp, jet-black silhouettes of tree, yachts, cottages and stepped hills.
Even the seagulls on the shore are statuesque, as if mesmerised.
But no, this is Plockton at sunrise and we smile with admiration.
I would wager that there are few places in heaven or earth that exceed the perfection of this place.
Only a privileged few venture this far, but those that do……

Part of a local builiding shot during an afternoon walk. Playing with the "new" Canon 5d2, I took some more or less random shots, looking for a nice compo.
Trying out the minimal approach for a change. :-)

On arrival at the Cathedral in Santiago, pilgrims take their credencial or Pilgrim Record, duly stamped along the way, to the nearby Pilgrim Office and a Compostela certificate (still written in Latin, and confirming the completion of the pilgrimage) is generally issued. Walkers and pilgrims on horseback must have completed at least the last 100km and cyclists the last 200 km.
