Believe it or not, this little guy was no more than 20cm long! And despite his tiny stature, he was completely fearless, and even took a few bites right at my lens!

"The Zwinger is a palatial complex with gardens in Dresden, Germany. Designed by architect Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann, it is one of the most important buildings of the Baroque period in Germany. Along with the Frauenkirche, the Zwinger is the most famous architectural monument of Dresden.
The name "Zwinger" goes back to the name used in the Middle Ages for a fortress part between the outer and inner fortress walls, even though the Zwinger no longer had a function corresponding to the name at the start of construction.
The Zwinger was built in 1709 as an orangery and garden as well as a representative festival area. Its richly decorated pavilions and the galleries lined with balustrades, figures and vases testify to the splendour during the reign of Augustus the Strong, Elector of Saxony and elected King of Poland." Unfortunately the courtyard was a big building site with loads of machines and building materials lying around. So taking pictures was a bit tricky. And of course it started snowing....

The buildings in this historic mill complex date from 1850 till about 1890. They were used to manufacture wool, cotton, paper bags, and then, finally, chocolate from the early 1900s till World War II. More recently the old mill buildings have been renovated and repurposed as retail, dining and office space. Ballston Spa, New York.
Prairie Line Railway MP15DC 1001 emerges from the 168-year old (1852 built) Anheuser-Busch brewery complex in St. Louis, MO, with a single empty hopper in tow. The Prairie Line took over switching operations at Anheuser-Busch earlier this year from Patriot Rail, and from how I understand it is the rebranded FTRL (Foster Townsend Rail) operation that gave this line up to Patriot Rail a few years ago. The brewery receives a variety of products for different drinks in hoppers, including hops, wheat, barley and more. The company also ships beer in boxcars to distribution centers in LaPorte, TX and Aurora, CO, the boxcars for which are loaded in the warehouse South East of the plant (right behind and to the left of the photographer). The brewery is serviced several times a day depending on plant needs as only a handful of cars can be spotted at a time. The spur runs down Dorcas Street, if only for a block and a half, and is the last bit of street trackage of the Manufacturers Railway system that once branched throughout the streets of downtown St. Louis. The Manufacturers Railway was owned by the brewery (and actually founded by Anheuser-Busch in 1887) but was given up in 2011 when AB stopped shipping beer by rail. Back then FTRL took over operations and since then has managed to win back at least some of the outbound boxcar traffic. St. Louis, MO

The complex circle intersection of MA 9 and Oak Street in Natick. It's sort of like a rotary with the through street running through the center, and with traffic signals. There is a similar intersection down in Marlton, New Jersey, at the intersection of NJ 70 and NJ 73, though that one is soon to become a grade separated interchange.

These grown in a parking strip where I park 3 to 4 times a week, am fascinated by the leaves.
Early summer they get blotches, and with warmth and sun new growth. I don't know what the plant is.
I'm heading back to try some more angles =:-]
A complex composition, lots of separate elements at play but I think that maybe the flow of it all holds it together.

Bonnierhuset (also the Bonnier scraper ) is a 61 meter high tower building in central Stockholm. Bonnier house is the first concrete skyscraper that was built after the war.
Bonnierhuset defines modern architecture in Stockholm, thus, making it a prominent landmark in the city. This magnificent structure houses various offices and event venues within it.
Bonnierhuset was owned by Bonnier Fastigheter. The complex was completed in 1949 and designed by Ivar Tengbom and his son Anders Tengbom after an architectural competition which was decided in 1937 but World War II delayed the start of construction.

The mouths of estuaries are places of shifting sands, as tides and rainfall result in water flows of varying direction and velocity. Sunset puts the icing on the cake of this beautiful, complex pattern of sandbars. Ballina
Star dunes are a complex aeolian dune form--characterized by a series of slip faces radiating about a central point, producing a rough star shape. Such dunes are the product of highly variable wind directions and thus have a highly variable pattern preserved in the dune.
Dunes often occur in different shapes and sizes, formed by interaction with the flow of air or water. Most kinds of dunes are longer on the windward side where the sand is pushed up the dune and have a shorter "slip face" in the lee of the wind. The valley or trough between dunes is called a slack. A "dune field" is an area covered by extensive sand dunes. Large dune fields are known as ergs.
