This is the main staircase in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building (EEOB) which is part of the White House complex in Washington, D.C.
It was built between 1871 and 1888, on the site of the original 1800 War/State/Navy Building and the White House stables, in the French Second Empire style. As its first name suggests, it was initially built to house three departments. While the building's elaborate style received substantial criticism at first, it has since been designated as a National Historic Landmark. It was for years the world's largest office building, with 566 rooms and about 10 acres (40,000 m2) of floor space. Most White House staff have their offices in the EEOB.–from Wikipedia

La population qui vivait en ce lieu se dédiait à l' élevage du bétail et à l'agriculture céréalière ...
L' aridité de la terre et les faibles précipitations annuelles imposèrent aux habitants de mettre au point un système complexe de récupération des eaux : fossés, citernes , filtres, tuyaux et puits .
Dans cet écomusée très intéressant , tout a été restauré avec les matériaux d' origine .
On peut voir par ex sur l' angle du mur vertical à droite des pierres plus foncées , d' origine volcanique . Le reste des murs étant fait de sable ,de chaux ou de boue .

"Cascade Complex" in Yerevan is an architectural complex on the hillside, located north of city center.
Externally, they look as great stairs, decorated with flowerbeds, fountains, sculptures and contemporary chaczkarami (plates with a carved Armenian cross). The name comes from fountains that flow down of cascade.
The first caskades project at the beginning of 20th century was developed by architect Alexander Tamanian. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of joining Armenia to the USSR, in 1970 this great construction project was returned. Work began only in 1980, but after the earthquake in 1988 and the breakup of the Soviet Union, the work was stopped.
In 2001, the building was taken over by Armenian millionaire, philanthropist and collector Gerard Cafesjian who lived in the United States. He decided to transform the whole into a museum with an exhibition of modern art.

Zewnętrznie prezentują się jako wielkie schody, ozdobione kwietnikami, fontannami, rzeźbami oraz współczesnymi chaczkarami (płytami z rzeźbionym krzyżem ormiańskim). Nazwa wywodzi się od fontann, które spływają po progach na kształt kaskady.
Pierwszy projekt Kaskad na początku XX wieku opracował architekt Aleksander Tamanian. Dla uczczenia 50-lecia przyłączenia Armenii do ZSRR, w latach 70 tych XX wieku powrócono do tego wielkiego projektu budowlanego. Prace rozpoczęto dopiero w 1980, ale po trzęsieniu ziemi w 1988 i rozpadzie Związku Radzieckiego, prace przerwano.
W 2001 roku budowę przejął żyjący w Stanach Zjednoczonych ormiański milioner, filantrop i kolekcjoner Gerard Cafesjian. Zdecydował się przekształcić całość w muzeum z ekspozycją sztuki nowoczesnej.

Meadow vetchling (Lathyrus pratensis), tufted vetch (Vicia cracca) and possibly also other Pea family (Fabaceae) plants.
There are three subfamilies of the Whites and yellows (Pieridae) in Finland. The Mimic sulphurs (Dismorphiinae) contains two species, the better known of which is wood white. The two other Pieridae subfamilies are the Whites (Pierinae) and the Sulphurs (Coliadinae).
The wood white is common in southern and central Finland and can be found here and there in Lapland. It usually rests with its wings against each other, so the upper surface is difficult to study without taking the butterfly in one’s hands. Its long, round-tipped wings and slow, fluttering flying style are characteristic properties of the species. The males fly around looking for females. Females lay their eggs one by one among the leaves that will be the caterpillar’s foodplant. The species is very difficult to differentiate from its close relative, the cryptic wood white. Mehtab Bagh is a charbagh complex in Agra, North India. It lies north of the Taj Mahal complex and the Agra Fort on the opposite side of the Yamuna River, in the flood plains. The garden complex, square in shape, measures about 300 by 300 metres and is perfectly aligned with the Taj Mahal on the opposite bank.During the rainy season, the ground becomes partially flooded.
The Lake Placid Club built the first ski jump on this site in 1920, using the hillside itself as the jump surface. The jump was referred to as the Intervales 35-meter jump. On February 21. 1921, the first competition was held at this site, drawing 3,000 spectators. The record jump for the day was 124 feet, set by Antony Maurer. In 1923, the jump was enlarged to fifty meters, and in 1927, a new steel tower was built, raising the jump to 60 meters. In 1928, the tower was raised to 75 meters; this was the tower used for the 1932 Winter Olympic Games. In 1977, the old tower was demolished to make way for new 70 and 90-meter jumps, used for the 1980 Winter Olympic Games. In 1994, the landing hills were re-graded to bring the jumps into compliance with current rules, and increasing their height to 90 and 120 meters 170
