A la recherche des meilleures versions, ce sont environ une cinquantaine de bootlegs qui ont été épluchés, comparés puis remasterisées au format .aiff, afin d'avoir une écoute la plus homogène possible.
Vous avez en main le fin du fin des enregistrements réalisés pour la BBC, radio nationale anglaise, détaillé grâce à l'aide du fameux site ‘The Complete Works of The Rolling’ website (http://www.nzentgraf.de/books/tcw/works1.htm).
La remasterisation effectuée est un travail d'amateur, avec ses défauts et ses qualités.
L'ensemble prend cependant une dimension et un dynamisme jamais entendus jusqu'alors, le but étant de réveiller nos oreilles engourdies depuis près de cinquante années sans magie numérique. Les puristes auront toujours les versions originales…
Toutes ses perles sont réunies chronologiquement, et présentées soigneusement dans une pochette soulignant la particularité de ces titres inédits exhumés des rayonnages.

A Compilation of 38 Dusty Springfield Songs by Mercury Records Released in 2006 packaged in a Hardcover Book.
This vinyl compilation album from 1988 entitled ‘Hit Mix 88’ features 60 tracks on two double sided discs. The album boasts a wide variety of music from the time including songs from Michael Jackson, Whitesnake and Nina Simone.
“Carry On Collecting” is a project set up by the Museum of Hartlepool to collect objects which represent everyday life in the town and beyond, from the 1950s through to the present day. The collection also attempts to represent the diversity of the people of Hartlepool over the past 60 years.

1913 postmarked postcard view of the new Presbyterian Church in Stroh, Indiana. This church stood on the northwest corner of CR S 1175 E and Lake Street where the newer Stroh Church of God building stands today. The 1942 and 1959 USGS topographic maps for Stroh show the church on that corner facing east. This view was probably looking southwest. An online article provided a few details about this Presbyterian Church.
“In the fall of 1932, the [Stroh Church of God] congregation purchased a church building that was for sale from a dwindling Methodist congregation at 4330 S. C.R. 1175E, the church’s location to this day. Emil Stroh, president of the Wabash Portland Cement Co. located in Stroh, was instrumental in the construction of the cement block church built in the early 1900s. Stroh’s wife was a Presbyterian, and he had the church building built for his wife, and the Presbyterian Church in Stroh was formed in the early 1900s. In later years, it became a Methodist church…. On Aug. 26, 1973, the congregation dedicated its new facility, constructed on the same corner lot where they had worshiped since 1932.”¹

Making a compilation for a friend was one thing. Assembling a tape for someone you wanted to see naked was something else entirely; a real high-wire act. Open with something earnestly romantic and you'd mark yourself out as a sexless drip.

This compilation and composite image is also a reminder to me that sometimes miscalculations do make a difference!
I was experimenting with a new small triplet APO refractor intended to capture wider fields of view than I can capture with my 130mm triplet APO. As a temporary test I used a lunar/planetary camera in deep sky mode to capture this. That was my first miscalculation as its field of view is much smaller than either of my normal deep sky cameras.
My second miscalculation was the back focus needed from the field flattener, which means that in the composite of three panes there is some slight coma caused by the APO because the focus point was not where it should have been. The inset single pane is after I corrected the spacing between the camera and the flattener and now there is no coma but my image capture was cut short by clouds rolling in, so an improved result will have to wait.
Despite the miscalculations I was pleased with the result as a first try-out, all the panels above are a series of ten second exposures stacked to bring out the galaxy, something I would not have been able to achieve in the time with a less sensitive deep sky CCD camera.
Inset image is 78x10seconds luminance, the three pane mosaic is 92x10seconds + 145x10seconds + 89x10seconds luminance data.
