First small compilation of some of my favourite images that are available in the gallery. Some may not be fantastic shots, but for one reason or another, I just like them
My first Blythe, customised by me (first&last). She's a little traveller. She viseted many palces with me, Berlin, Barcelona, Dubai, Zanzibar are just examples.
Building GDAL on single machine (Mac Pro) under two operating systems using two different compilers: host system Mac OS X 10.4 with GCC 4.0.1 and guest system Windows XP with Visual C++ 8.0.
Shooting at 5fps... skipped posting the two in between as Flickr would end up resizing the image too small for my liking.
I shot this from the prone position and looking through the tall grass and small shrubs. Well, that was after having to crawl stomach first for about 50m so that they wouldn't be startled by my presence. These guys, like most other types of small ducks, are quite skittish - so 300mm is a lost battle unless you can get close by other means possible.
The 2005 CD compilation "Chess Psychedelic Jazz and Funky Grooves" is a gathering of psych and funk tunes on the different Chess Records labels and features the song "Afro-Harping" from the 1968 Dorothy Ashby record album also called "Afro-Harping"
Just a medley of random shots I've taken of BNSF SD70ACe's around Burlington.
Shot 1: E. 6th St. Bridge, my favorite place to shoot.
Shot 2: On the K line south of town headed west (compass north) into the yard.
Shot 3: More from 6th St. Bridge. You can hear the shutter from my camera go off just a little slow- I forgot to adjust my ISO to the dim lighting, and the shot was fairly blurry. Bummer.
Shot 4: Between West Burlington and Middletown. As pretty as they are, they don't have a very endearing horn tone!
Amazing compilation. US Beat Music mixed with 1960s US Pop.Johnny Rivers with very early works, long before his Whisky A Go Go Hit Series.

The German printer Ratdolt was celebrated for his illustrated editions of scientific works. This astrological treatise dates from around 1270 but its subject matter still interested Renaissance readers. The pages displayed refer to comets and the consequences for human health when they appeared during various zodiac signs.

Mixed media: India ink, graphite, red chalk on drawing paper.
Comprised of emulations of preliminary master sketches. While these works often preceded a complete piece or were intended to provide a sort of reference to what the final piece may look like, I chose simply to compile them, thus emphasizing the idea that no great idea can be followed to fruition without initial conceptualization. Includes sketches by Rubens, da Vinci, Degas, Caravaggio, Michelangelo, and Pontormo.
-The bottom right illustration was displayed in Tidal Wave, the high school's newspaper
