This time I'm flying the competitor's low-cost airline (Blue1). I use it whenever I need a one-way ticket. On my way from Copenhagen to Helsinki. Somewhere over the Baltic Sea.

The Reading half marathon took place today (14/04/2024) and Reading Buses ran 3 frequent shuttle bus services for the event based at the town's football stadium. The M1 ran to and from the railway station; the M2 ran to and from Shinfield Park; and the M3 ran to and from Mereoak Park & Ride.
Just shy of 20 buses from the Reading Buses fleet were kept busy throughout the day shuttling competitors and spectators. The half marathon was completed by 5373 individuals.
My daughter Katya playing for Team Alberta at the 2016 Canadian Senior Handball Championships in Montreal.
She played superbly against a tough Drummondville team, helping Team Alberta to a 16-16 come from behind tied game.
Unfortunately, she was injured at the end of this round robin match and could not play again in the tournament.
Team Alberta went on to compete in the finals and lost 16-12 against Team Champlain.
Katya was proud of her team mates, disappointed that they lost, but crushed by not having the opportunity to compete in the playoffs and final.
Shot in the worst gymnasium lighting I have ever photographed in. The difference in light from one end of the gym to the other was over 2 EV in awful mixed lighting.

SUEZ and Cleanaway are maybe the two biggest rival companies in the waste industry today, battling for municipal and commercial business between each other and the rest of the major competitors. Apparently in the case of this major industrial park, it wasn’t so much competition, but simply a takeover of the work by Cleanaway. I don’t know how long SUEZ had been servicing the site, but definitely for quite a number of years going off the very faded bins, including the old dino containers which also have the earlier SITA stickers. All of a sudden the fresh blue front lift and hook lift containers started rocking up in the adjacent fenced area and were gradually delivered around the site, sitting side by side with the existing bins, a sign of what was to come. There was previously a SUEZ front lift and dinosaur based onsite, but moving forward it became the home for a Cleanaway front lift and hook lift.
Fitness Athlete - gridded strip box and an overhead gridded beauty dish with ABs and WL strobes. strobes triggered and controlled by radio-popper jrx.
Only a visual, no sensation of smoke, burning fuel, acrid rubber burning, and the concussion following acceleration. I love the smell of Nitro...anytime!

The Corgi Cameo series were introduced back in the very late 1980's/early 90's as a budget competitor to the likes of Lledo and their Days Gone line. Comprising mainly of vintage era vehicles they also produced a small range of 50's and 60's cars which were usually available in gift sets and given away in various promotions.
For some strange reason I'd always written these off as being too big for my tastes when in actual fact they are only a little bit bigger than 1/64 and very much still within my "three inch" parameters.
I recently found a wonderful Cadbury's branded four vehicle set which included this delightful early style Citroen 2CV which is probably on par with the Norev equivalent for size. A fairly simplistic casting denoting its budget roots but still wonderfully accurate and decently detailed. This example dates from 1992 when Mattel now owned Corgi yet was still made in Great Britain when most Corgi products had since shifted production to China.
