"Fierce Competitor" is a captivating monochrome photograph, expertly captured on a Fujifilm GFX 100, that pays tribute to the strength, beauty, and determination of a woman rugby player. Dressed in skin-tight athletic attire, the athlete stands confidently on a rugby pitch, holding a rugby ball and showcasing her ample chest, large round behind, and her toned, muscular, athletic figure.
This tasteful composition thoughtfully balances sensuality and respect, emphasizing the power and grace that accompany her passion for rugby. Set against a rugby pitch backdrop, the skillful use of contrast and texture enhances the artistic expression of the image, creating a visually striking narrative of perseverance and empowerment.
"Fierce Competitor" is a stunning tribute to the beauty of athleticism and the indomitable spirit of the modern woman, making it a perfect addition to any gallery that appreciates the fusion of strength, grace, and determination.

Even though I sometimes collect Barbie’s ‘competitors’ like Tressy and Tuesday Taylor, I usually don’t collect ‘clones’. There is one however, that always tugged at my heartstrings with her sad, worried face… and that was Polly, made by Valentine dolls in the early 1960’s (she was made by other companies for decades afterward) but the original was the one I was after, with the heart and arrow logo on her back. I especially love this one as she still has her original lips in a beautiful strawberry red colour and all her cheek blush. She also has an oversized white ‘reflector’ dot in one eye that looks like a tear that is about to roll down her cheek! She looks as if she knows that Barbie is always going to score all the best modelling jobs, (though she thinks Ken is a bit of drip so she’s not jealous of that! LOL)
She DOES however have one spectacular black satin and chiffon ‘Dior–ish’ cocktail dress that Barbie could only dream of owning (Though she may steal it from Polly to wear in a future pic!) Polly also came with some of her original outfits, including these fab leopard Capri pants, (which is one of the other big reasons I wanted this lot!) and leopard trimmed top. She is borrowing Barbie’s jacket, belt, eyeglasses and shoes. I also gave her a ‘Barbie-ish’ ponytail which is close to the original ponytail hairstyle she had, as her hair was in a bit of a state. It’s like she is always thinking ‘What does Barbie have that I haven’t got?’ I can definitely relate to this gal more than any of my other dolls, as I definitely know how she feels!!!
Ever since the deregulation of the freight railways in New South Wales, two companies have competed for superiority in the lucrative coal market, going head to head in all regions of the state.
Here Aurizon coal train TM56 from Tahmoor meets Pacific National empties bound for the nearby Dendrobium mine. Both PN and Aurizon engage in haulage from the mine at Tahmoor, with Aurizon trains serving the blast furnaces of Port Kembla and the PN trains heading to Inner Harbour. The coal is then shipped across to Wyalla to be used in the Arrium steelworks.

Before the Chessie System would bring these two railroads together, the Western Maryland and Chesapeake and Ohio hauled millions of tons of coal out of West Virginia. These two classic engines live on on thanks to the Durbin and Greenbrier Valley Railroad. They posed here together at Cheat Bridge, WV thanks to a photo charter set up by Chase Gunnoe.
