The 2+2 version with a lengthened wheelbase was released several years later. The model was made in three distinct versions which are now generally referred to as "Series 1", "Series 2" and "Series 3".
On its release Enzo Ferrari called the Jaguar XKE "The most beautiful car ever made".
PIR13630: Offered here is a great survivor example of this famous British marquee, on which no reasonable effort was spared in the endeavor to preserve its charm. Finished in the timeless Silver over Black, this open-headlight, 4.2L Series 2 XKE presents well as a maintained numbers-matching classic driver.
Cosmetically, this car remains largely original, including the paint and upholstery. The cabin’s thick black leather has aged gracefully over the years, providing character and supple support, while the exterior finish does show blemishing in areas. The factory original A/C system still resides on the vehicle (needs charging). The roadster is also equipped with chrome wire wheels and manual transmission!
Several original accessories accommodate the car, such as: jack and case, spare wheel/tire, and original wood trimmed steering wheel. Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate verifies its authenticity.

The Jaguar E-Type (a.k.a. Jaguar XK-E) is a British sports car, which was manufactured by Jaguar Cars Ltd between 1961 and 1975. Its combination of beauty, high performance, and competitive pricing established the marque as an icon of 1960s motoring. At a time when most cars had drum brakes, live rear axles, and mediocre performance, the XKE sprang on the scene with 150 mph and a sub-7 second 0-60 time, monocoque construction, disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, and unrivaled looks. In fact, the XKE was based on Jaguar's own famed racer, the Type D, which had won the world's most prestigious sports-car race three consecutive years (1955-1957) and, as such, it was the first production vehicle not to use a separate body bolted onto a chassis, instead employing the racing design of a body tub attached to a tubular framework, with the engine bolted directly to the framework.
In March 2008, the Jaguar E-Type ranked first in a The Daily Telegraph online list of the world's "100 most beautiful cars" of all time.

A great success for Jaguar, over seventy thousand E-Types were sold during its lifespan.
In March 2008, the Jaguar E-Type ranked first in Daily Telegraph list of the "100 most beautiful cars" of all time. In 2004, Sports Car International magazine placed the E-Type at number one on their list of Top Sports Cars of the 1960s.
This Car: Presented here is a beautiful 1972 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Coupe, finished in Old English white with Berry Red interior. The older, frame-off, full-body restoration carried out by previous owner still presents very well. This early Series III Coupe remains in excellent condition both mechanically & cosmetically.
Recent mechanical refreshing includes: New front & rear engine main seals, total front end rebuild, red polyurethane bushings to replace factory originals, top and bottom wishbones and control arms painted silver, new brake pads, new white wall tires with 70,000 mile warranty. All electronics works great, and the air conditioning blows cold.
The E-Type has had a few tasteful performance upgrades such as: removal of emission control equipment, including the smog pump and air rails with custom manufactured plates installed, K&N air filters, and performance Aluminized exhaust. All original equipment is available.

The E-Type was initially designed and shown to the public as a grand tourer in two-seater coupé form (FHC or Fixed Head Coupé) and as convertible (OTS or Open Two Seater). The 2+2 version with a lengthened wheelbase was released several years later. The model was made in three distinct versions which are now generally referred to as "Series 1", "Series 2" and "Series 3".
On its release Enzo Ferrari called the Jaguar XKE "The most beautiful car ever made".
PIR13630: Offered here is a great survivor example of this famous British marquee, on which no reasonable effort was spared in the endeavor to preserve its charm. Finished in the timeless Silver over Black, this open-headlight, 4.2L Series 2 XKE presents well as a maintained numbers-matching classic driver.
Cosmetically, this car remains largely original, including the paint and upholstery. The cabin’s thick black leather has aged gracefully over the years, providing character and supple support, while the exterior finish does show blemishing in areas. The factory original A/C system still resides on the vehicle (needs charging). The roadster is also equipped with chrome wire wheels and manual transmission!
Several original accessories accommodate the car, such as: jack and case, spare wheel/tire, and original wood trimmed steering wheel. Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate verifies its authenticity.
