Gomma’s moment of pride was when met the then President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and shared his experiences. It was indeed a great moment for this boy who had succeeded in life against all odds.
Gomma is now an inspiration to other children in his village.
Looking back on his life, Gomma says with confidence “Nothing is Impossible in life.”
Truly, through his sponsor’s support and his hard work, Gomma has achieved the impossible.
The process to ensure this was simple, a process called ‘dotmocracy.’ Children wrote the top 6 themes that emerged out of the individual mind mapping exercise on a chart paper. And then each child was asked to vote by drawing a dot under their favourite theme on the chart paper. The theme with the highest votes was chosen as the final theme.
