Billboard Magazine selected the Commodore as one of North America’s 10 most influential clubs, alongside legendary places like New York’s Bowery Ballroom and San Francisco’s Fillmore. In fact, the Commodore is the only club in Canada to make the list. According to Billboard, venues were selected for being “influential, a career building block or just plain cool. Some surprisingly big name, arena-rock-type groups have passed through its doors. Pearl Jam, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Lady Gaga and Nirvana all played the Commodore before they became huge stars.
A Restoration, cleaning and maintenance on a Commodore 64 c. I have used the keys from a broken Commodore Vic=20, to replace some of the original keys of the Commodore 64 c. I used bleach to clean the keys, and an air compressor to blow the keys dry, and remove the dust from the parts. This Commodore 64 c is fully working at this moment. The most photo's of this restoration, are taken with my smartphone in stead of the Nikon D5200. The Commodore 64, the Commodore Vic=20, and the Commodore 64c, have the same keyboard mechanism. Only the color of the keys are different.

One of my hobbies is collecting retro-computers, focusing on computers made by Atari. I have currently have eleven different Atari-models, three from Commodore and one other model in my collection.
When I sold my Commodore 64 back in 1989 for buying my first Atari ST I kept a couple of disks with personal items on them, thinking that maybe someday I could transfer them to some more modern hardware or something. So in 2011 i finally came across this Commodore 128D at a real bargain price. It came with plenty of games and extra hardware. The fan was really noisy though, so I replaced it with a modern one to silence it.

The Commodore Vic-20 was the first computer to sell more than one million units, and it was the first colour computer to break the $300 price barrier. The "20" in the name was just as arbitrary as the machine having only 5K of RAM and a 22 column display. Initial retail price in 1981? $299.95 US.

The Commodore was formally the Queen's Hotel in Cobh - it is the oldest purpose built hotel in ireland built in the mid 19th century. It was the location where the survivors from the Luisitania were brought after there rescue. Passengers from all the White Star Liners sailing for America would have stayed here!
The Commodore Series 12 and Series 14 were the junior models to the Commodore Custom Series 15 and Series 17. The junior models debuted in Hudson's 1941 model line. Commodore Series 12 featured a I6 engine and the Series 14 models came with a I8, with all built on a 121-inch (3,073 mm) wheelbase, while Commodore Customs utilized on the 121 in (3,073 mm) wheelbase for Series 15 coupes and a 128 in (3,251 mm) version for Series 17 sedans.
The Commodore was powered by Hudson's 202 cu in (3.3 L) I6 producing 102 bhp (76 kW), or by Hudson's 254.4 cu in (4.2 L) I8 that produced 128 bhp (95 kW). Prices listed for the Series 12 coupe started at US$1,028 ($21,976 in 2024 dollars) to the top level Custom Series 17 Sedan at US$1,537 ($32,858 in 2024 dollars).
The Commodore series was Hudson's largest model range in its debut year, consisting of sedans, coupes, and convertibles. Elements of the interior and exterior were styled by Betty Thatcher, "the first woman designer to be employed by a car manufacturer".
For the 1942 model year, the cars received a facelift. This included concealed running boards, modestly enlarged front grilles, and external trim arrangements. Hudson offered an optional "Drive-Master" vacuum-assisted clutch with a servo-operated transmission with three modes: "automatic" shifting and clutching, automated clutching only, or fully manual.
