1935 Hudson Commodore Eight 2-door coupe convertible, 219 cu in/3.6 litre straight 8 engine, Reg.CGC991 at the Bristol American Classic Car Show, Keynsham Rugby Club, Somerset, 24 July 2025.
Old cabins, originally part of a Route 20 tourist cabin court, converted into self storage units. Commodore Self Storage itself is currently defunct. Sharon Springs, New York.
Commodore Ayiwah is the commander of the Dasaka Navy. Normally patrolling the Kentoku Archipelago aboard her flagship, the Yukanna, she currently leads an expedition of her people on the recently discovered island of Mata Nui. Compared to home, this place is borderline Anarchy in her eyes and she's having a tough time adjusting to the free spirited inhabitants. As a result, shenanigans easily ensue.

My Holden Commodore SV6, with NR84 Southern Spirit plates, poses with Southern Spirit liveried NR84 & The Ghan liveried NR109 at Goobang Junction, the NR’s had just arrived with Pacific National’s 2YN2 steel service. Tuesday, 16th July 2019.
This calculator belonged to my father. It was in a pretty poor condition, but I have refurbished it. The battery was very leaky and many things inside have been corroded.
I have replaced the NiCd battery with a NiMH battery (this behaves almost the same). I also cleaned up everything inside, re-flowed all solder joints and replaced the electrolytic capacitors, which had been a bit weak after this long time (they might got dry and also the electrolyte of old e-caps might run out and damage other components).
Now, it works again! I do not need the financial functions and it does not have the square root, but I managed to calculate the square root of 2 without :-)

The Commodore was the 2.5L 6 cylinder version of the Opel Rekord.
I spotted this one outside of a vintage car restauration business. It was Sunday, so it was closed, but peeking through the windows I saw, among others, A 1966 Vanden Plas Princess 4-litre, second generation Toyota MR2, 1973 VAZ 2101 Zhiguli (aka Lada 1200), 1950s or early 1960s Alfa Romeo Spider, Hindustan Ambassador and a 1960s Jaguar S-Type. And last, but not least, a Moskvitch pedal car.
Holden Commodore registered in March 1998.
Registered as a TWR.
Last taxed in October 2013 and last MoT test expired in January 2014.

The Gaudy Commodore (Precis octavia) is a medium-sized African butterfly with a wingspan of 48 to 60 mm.
There are 2 subspecies of this butterfly: The northern form, Precis octavia octavia and the southern form, Precis octavia sesamus.
The upperside of the wings of the northern subspecies is throughout the year red/orange with black borders and dark markings at the base of the wings. See picture above.
The upperside of the southern subspecies is in the summer the same as the northern subspecies, but in the winter, completely different. The upperside of the wings are in the winter black and blue with a row of red spots.
The seasonal dimorphism of the southern Gaudy Commodores are so different, for many years they were considered to be 2 species.
The southern subspecies is found from the Eastern Cape in South Africa and along the eastern side of Africa to Kenya. The northern subspecies lives in the rest of Africa south of the Sahara.

De Gaudy Commodore (Precis octavia) is een middelgrote Afrikaanse vlinder met een vleugelspanwijdte van 48 à 60 mm.
De gaudy commodore komt voor in heel Afrika zuidelijk van de Sahara. Er zijn twee ondersoorten: de noordelijke vorm (Precis octavia octavia) en de zuidelijke vorm (Precis octavia sesamus).
De bovenzijde van de noordelijke vorm is het hele jaar door oranjerood gekleurd met een zwarte rand en zwarte vlekjes.
De zuidelijke vorm is in de zomer gelijk aan de noordelijke vorm, maar in de winter heel anders gekleurd. De bovenzijde van de vleugels is dan zwart en blauw met een rijtje rode punten.
De zuidelijke ondersoort komt voor in oostelijk Afrika van Kaap de Goede Hoop in Zuid-Afrika tot in Kenia. De noordelijke ondersoort leeft in de rest van Afrika zuidelijk van de Sahara.
Deze foto van de gaudy commodore is gemaakt in de tropische vlinderkas van zorgboerderij De Passiflorahoeve bij Harskamp op de Veluwe tussen Ede en Apeldoorn, noordelijk van Arnhem.
Alleen in de maanden juni t/m september is de Passiflorahoeve (www.passiflorahoeve.nl/) van maandag t/m zaterdag van 10:00 tot 16:00 uur geopend voor bezoekers.

I was originally going to build a flexible custom torso for this character, as I have done before. However, in order to achieve the look I wanted I eventually gave up on the flexibility and instead chose a standard CCBS torso bone piece for its numerous attachment points. I am quite happy with the result, as it didn't just allow for a good amount of detail to be attached - It is also very sturdy, so I can pose her without breaking off half the armor in the process ^^
