Note: Some of you may know my misery regarding when Justice first came to Vancouver. I brought my wide angle lens and was denied by security because I had a "professional camera" (oh please). So tonight I brought my stalker lens and had a rematch with Justice hitting up the Commodore Ballroom. Sweet.

Commodore Queen was used on Guernsey services between 1960 to 1969, and was sold in 1971.
Commodore Queen was built as the Rochester Queen (2), one of four LCG(M)(1) Class (Landing Craft gun, Medium Mark 1) conversions undertaken by the Jake Bolson Shipyard in Poole after the Second World War. Three vessels were used by the associated Bolson excursion boat company as the Bournemouth Skylark 4, 5 & 6, whilst the fourth became the Rochester Queen (2). She operated on the Medway and Thames on New Medway SP Co routes until 1956 when she was sold for coastal use in Germany as the Hein Mück. In 1961 she passed to Commodore Shipping as the Commodore Queen, and used for services in the Channel Islands. She spent a further 3 years in the Channels Islands as Jersey Queen with Jersey Car Ferries before leaving to work in Nigeria.

Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial commemorates the Battle of Lake Erie that took place near Ohio's South Bass Island, in which Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry led a fleet to victory in one of the most decisive naval battles to occur in the War of 1812. Located on an isthmus on the island, the memorial also celebrates the lasting peace between Britain, Canada, and the United States that followed the war.
The 352-foot column was erected in 1912-15, and believed to be the world's tallest Doric column. The memorial was designed after an international competition from which the winning design by Joseph H. Freelander and A.D. Seymour was chosen. The column itself also functions as a working lighthouse.
The National Park Service site was established as Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial National Monument by Franklin D. Roosevelt on June 2, 1936. It was redesignated a National Memorial and renamed on October 26, 1972. As with all historic areas administered by the National Park Service, the memorial was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1966. The listing's boundaries were increased in 2015.
