The VX Commodore was built from October 2000- Sept 2002, it was a minor update on the VT, revised headlamp and taillamps,. The Berlina and Calais got a unique full width grille and angular headlights.
Models available;
Executive; 3.8 6 cyl, anti lock brakes, airbag.
Acclaim; 4 airbags, cruise control, air con.
Berlina; upmarket interior, front fascia, alloys
Calais; better interior, 16 in alloys, fog lights.
S; 3.8 6 cyl, body kit, sports interior.
SS; 5.0 V8, body kit, sports interior.
Utes were now available, the VU; base, S and SS.
The V2 2 door Monaro was introduced in 2001, available in CV6, CV8 and HSV improved GTO and GTS.
HSV built performance versions for Holden, VX models were; XU6, Clubsport, R8, GTS, Senator and Grange. Utes; Maloo and R8
Engines; 152kw 3.8 Ecotec V6, 171kw 3.8 Supercharged V6 or 225kw 5.7 V8

The Commodore Hotel was built on the site of Llanyravon House, built in 1900; this later became the Stirrup Cup Club, the hotel being built in the late 1970s/early 1980s. The hotel has been in administration and boarded up since the end of 2011, and is earmarked for building land for housing.
Permission has been granted to develop the site for housing.
Pilliner's Bar at the hotel referred to the Pilliner family; when Alfred Massey Pilliner, son of the former managing director of the local Oakfield Wire Works married the daughter of Richard Laybourne, the latter bought Llanyravon Farm for them, and in 1900, had Llanyravon House, a Gothic style mansion built on the Commodore site for the couple.

Decided to get a 1541 drive for my 64. Never had one before as here in the UK probably around 99% of games were played on cassette.
