First Up was The Champion of Brands and with a whole Field of Formula Fords Ranging from Van Diemen's to Ray GR18 Every Driver Was Getting Ready to head out for their First Qualifying Session of the Day. Lets see what Happened and Who managed to take Pole Position.
In First Place was (Max Esterson) in his Ray GR18 with A Lap Time of 50.059 and a Top Speed of 86.86mph. Fantastic Work Max Pole Position and a Very Strong Drive.

Next up and Out onto Circuit was The Dunlop Mini Miglia Challenge and with High Spec Fast Minis Ready to Battle Lets see How Qualifying Shakes things up and Who will be Taking that All Important Pole Position.
In First Place was (Aaron Smith) in his Mini Miglia with a Lap Time of 1:02.096 and a Top Speed of 70.03mph. Fantastic Driving from Aaron to Take Pole Position and put himself at The Front of the Grid. Congratulations Aaron.
In Second Place was (Andrew Jordan) in his Miglia with a Lap Time of 1:02.259 and a Top Speed of 69.84mph. Amazing Driving there Andrew and a Truly Fantastic Performance from the BTCC Driver.

BMW And Golf Championships were up next and with a Grid Alighted With Both BMW'S and Volkswagen Golfs it would be a very Quick and yet very Interesting Qualifying Session for the Drivers as Each of their Machines were Matched quite well on Power and so Getting that All Important Pole Position would require a Perfect Lap with no Traffic To Achieve.

In a very quiet corner of Hampshire stands this lovely garden, in the grounds of West Green House. It is a charming 18th century house that is the epitome of the small English manor surrounded by farmland.
The garden is certainly one of the nicest 'large' gardens we have seen on our visits to National Trust properties. Sadly the house is no longer open to the public following an IRA bomb that exploded in 1990 and did extensive damage.
The present owner is Marylyn Abbott, an Australian who purchased the lease in 1993 and the NT relinquished all of its financial and management commitment. She has painstakingly built the garden back to its former glory, and the house is in the process of being renovated too.
For those that enjoy garden visits I suggest you add this one to your list of ones to see. We rarely go back to places we've been to once because there are so many gardens to see in the UK. But this is a garden that we will go and see on a regular basis because the season's changes show us that it is worth seeing fairly often. Fortunately it's not too far off our route to see our granddaughters down in Eastleigh, so popping in for an hour is a 'must'!

The lovely girl in this photograph was visiting with her sister. (I did get permission to take her photo from the lady who was looking after them whilst on their visit. Kindly, she didn't mind me taking photos of them, and I managed to take a few pics that might help them in the future to remember their visit to the garden. As you can see the two girls were delightful and so photogenic. Both of them had amazingly beautiful eyes and their blonde curls look wonderful too.

Jean de Brébeuf was one of the first Jesuit missionaries to arrive in Canada during the early 17th Century. Brébeuf developed a special relationship with the Huron-Wendat First Nation. Among his many accomplishments, he founded several schools and wrote a catechism and dictionary in the Huron-Wendat native language. In 1930, Pope Pius XI canonized Brébeuf in recognition of his commitment, humanitarian work and sacrifices made for the Huron-Wendat People.

If commitment and passion for local foods were a recipe, Nutrition Director Chad Elliott and the Decorah Community School District would have all the right ingredients.
Elliott and his staff are especially excited about their culinary plans for district diners to celebrate Iowa Local Food Day. But then every day in this school district is local food day and that is what makes them extraordinary.
And it doesn’t get any more local than out the back door 10 feet from the district’s central kitchen. Decorah High School’s gardens produce nearly enough kale for the district for the entire year thanks to the dedication of staff who lead student garden crews and the implementation of a greenhouse on a track that rolls over the raised kale beds extending the growing season.
Students of all ages are involved in a variety of steps in growing and preparing local food for the district. The garden produced 100 pounds of garlic that students helped peel, process, and put in four-ounce containers to freeze for use in recipes throughout the year. The same was done with fresh basil.
For Local Food Day 2022, Decorah is featuring local meat donated by a nearby beef operation, burgers from a local food hub, local wheat for breakfast pizza, local roasted potatoes, local pears and local caramel apples.
Elliott said a key ingredient for success with local foods is to start on a small scale. He first established a relationship with a local orchard and then tried to add a new local food to the menus each year.
“It’s a no brainer for us every day,” Elliott said. “The price is right and we adjust the workload and try to balance it. We have a plan for every day depending on what preparation is required for a particular menu. It is just one more way to do good for our community. We want to support our local farmers. We like doing local food day because it is a chance for us to announce and publicize our local food commitment.”
