After witnessing a friend's death, Jen Fox knew she had to do something. She decided to start a CPR club at University Washington in order to bring CPR education to students. Her goal is to have CPR certification be a requirement for entrance to the school's Greek system.

The commitment to finding inspiration from nature is a disciplinary stance with a rich heritage and one of the most conflicted metaphors in the history of architecture. Postdigital Natures of Planet B questions this approach by exploring ambiguous overlaps and interfaces between the natural, the virtual, and the built environments. Through a series of reconfigurable architectural components, the project explores a variety of interfaces between the aforementioned domains. Paired with virtual overlays, various 3D-printed structures highlight contemporary potentials of novel, renewable, recyclable and regrowable materials in conjunction with robotic fabrication. In the project, organic shapes and metabolic ambience interact with each other. The integration of non-human agents—both flora and fauna—further questions the role of spacemaking in the Anthropocene. Together the proliferation of all those components establishes a positive, colorful, postdigital vision of Planet B.

As part of our commitment to make information as accessible as possible, NHS England's inaugural Annual General Meeting was held in public at the Queen Elizabeth II conference centre in London on 12th September 2013.
The Board received reports on business from the previous year and opened up their conversation to questions from the public.
Various workshops and seminars held earlier throughout the day brought together partners from across the world of health care, including the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sectors.

Dear Minister Wilson-Raybould:
Today, you will be joining your provincial and territorial colleagues in Halifax for the annual meeting of Canada’s justice and public safety ministers. I want to express my sincere appreciation for your commitment to engage in open, two-way dialogue with Ontario and all of your provincial and territorial counterparts on a range of important justice sector issues, including indigenous justice, criminal law reform and justice sector innovation.
As you know, Premier Kathleen Wynne recently released my mandate letter to the people of Ontario. I am encouraged by the considerable number of common priorities that we share in the area of justice reform. In my view, we have a momentous opportunity before us to transform our justice system in order to make it more responsive and more accessible for all Ontarians.
I would like to take this opportunity to highlight three particular priorities that I look forward to pursuing with you in the months ahead.
Criminal Justice Reform
As Attorney General of Ontario, I am firmly committed to working with you and my provincial and territorial colleagues to address some of the long-standing challenges facing our criminal justice system. The Government of Ontario intends to serve as a strong and active participant in your forthcoming review of the criminal justice system.
In anticipation of the launch of your review, I have asked Ontario’s Ministry of the Attorney General to develop a series of proposals to reform certain provisions of the Criminal Code of Canada with an eye to simplifying and modernizing court processes. In addition, in the coming weeks, I will be releasing an action plan aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of Ontario’s criminal justice system in the area of bail, while maintaining public safety.
Unified Family Courts
In seventeen communities across Ontario, the Unified Family Court model is working to provide a “single window” for family cases, where families can go to one court to fully resolve their issues. Unified Family Courts offer a more specialized bench with judges and support staff possessing strong expertise in family law matters. The result is a more efficient and responsive court process that puts the needs of children and families first.
Our governments have both expressed a renewed commitment to build on the success of this model by considering the expansion of Unified Family Courts to additional Ontario communities. I am pleased to inform you that officials at the Ministry are currently working with the leadership of both the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice to develop a consensus-driven proposal for Unified Family Court expansion in Ontario. In the coming months, I will be formally submitting this proposal to your office for consideration.
Legalization of Marijuana for Recreational Use
In anticipation of the federal government’s forthcoming legalization of marijuana for recreational use, I have been assigned the responsibility to lead the development of Ontario’s regulatory framework for safe and controlled marijuana use that protects youth and vulnerable populations, promotes public health and safety, regulates use, focuses on prevention and harm reduction, and supports responsible economic development. I want to extend my appreciation for the recent opportunity to meet with the leadership of the Federal Task Force in advance of the delivery of their Final Report next month.
As you are aware, this is a highly complex and important initiative – one I intend to take very seriously. I am pleased to notify you that the Ministry of the Attorney General will be establishing a dedicated team that will be exclusively focused on developing Ontario’s regulatory framework for marijuana. My Ministry will be coordinating the policy response across all impacted provincial government ministries to ensure a cohesive approach.
Our governments have a shared commitment to collaboration on important justice sector issues. I am confident that our new partnership will ensure that we take a transformational approach to our common properties that will make our justice system more responsive and accessible. I look forward to meeting with you and our provincial and territorial counterparts in the days ahead.
