AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - Officials are trying to piece together exactly what happened with Continental Flight 3407 before it crashed into a home in Clarence Thursday.
44 people and 4 crew members were on the plane. One person on the ground also died. The flight was a 74-seat Q400 Bombardier aircraft and operated by Colgan Air. Colgan officials are expressing sorrow to the family members of the victims in the accident.
The President and CEO of the Pinnacle Airlines Corp and CEO of Colgan Air, Philip Trenary says they are doing everything they can to find out what caused the crash. Officials say they Q400 Bombardier was a brand new plane. The pilot flying the plane was a male and had a female co-pilot. They have confirmed the flight did leave Newark and was delayed.
The flight was originally scheduled to arrive at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport around 8:30pm Thursday, they have not said why it was delayed. This is the first accident with the company."

The first building at this site, a cannon foundry, was constructed in 1588. This foundry was in use until 1624 and used copper from a mine near Santiago de Cuba called 'El Cobre'. This arsenal was demolished in 1938 and replaced by the present structure. At present the building serves as the headquarters of the National Revolutionary Police Force of Havana. These are the structures I built for my Terran base.
I'm particularly happy with how the Command Center turned out.
The designs are inspired by Tim's awesome versions, but ended up evolving quite a bit in certain cases. I even changed my own Reactor design because I felt it was a bit too large.
If you have the chance and the time, visit the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier museum in San Diego's harbor. Take the time for the guide island tour. On the command center for flight deck operations you will find the list shown in the picture. Quite interesting detail you will get on the ready room's tour, all the names are pilots which are died, missing or get captured.

Originally this was just the walker part of the build, then I added a landing pad when I found out how strong it was after strength testing it, then I decided why not add two more. I might make a rebel AT-MCC later down the line, but for now, at least, I’m done with this build

This mobile command center (aka incident command unit) for the Steinburg fire department was built by Gimaex-Schmidt on an MAN TGX 26.400 6x2 chassis.
This is the truck fully deployed, with the slide-out conference room extended to accommodate the full command staff.

This is the Massachusetts State Police Incident Command Center. Here it's parked in Hudson during the funeral services of Trooper Thomas Clardy. Trooper Clardy was killed in the line of duty when his patrol vehicle was struck from behind while on a traffic stop.

i have been dreaming for awhile of replacing my dinky little work table with an 11' wall-to-wall command center so that i could actually keep my computers, hard drives, printer and scanner together all on one surface with tabletop space to spare as a cutting surface so that when i make stuff i don't have to hunch over on the floor.
my first major obstacle in having an 11' desk was... finding an 11' desk. which doesn't exist. easily solved, however, by the kitchen section of ikea. the desk is comprised of 4 kitchen cabinet units with a solid wood butcherblock kitchen countertop as its surface. it is about 3 1/2" taller than normal desk height, but i was able to find an adjustable-height chair that rises up to 4" to compensate. vintage library card catalog pulls, drawer pulls and cabinet handles (which are actually coat hooks) were procured from anthropologie in an effort to mitigate the overall "ikea-ness".
yes, i still have to finish painting that wall on the right (realized late on installation day that i'd need to paint at least that one corner otherwise i'd never be able to get into the 4" space between the desk and the wall ever again). i am also looking for wall shelving systems, hardwired ceiling light fixtures, and under-the-desk cable organization/hiding systems if anyone has any suggestions.
