My dearest Flickr friends! Thank you all so much for commenting on my photo's! That means so much to me!!
And I've got wonderful news, it seems like one of my Flickr friends is wanting to buy one of my photo's to put up in his (shared!!) office!!! It's the one with the terrific light in the forrest, the lane, taken from the ground view! With the sunlight!
Today I WANTED to study, but I took my camera with me and Amsterdam is just soooo beautiful in the fall!!! It's sooo tempting to shoot a few more pictures than to study! Luckily I already have weekend since my exam was tuesday. My semester is over and the next one starts monday, so it's not too bad if I don't study my hardest today.
I can't wait to share the best of my pictures! I liked this one because it's one of the last pictures I made today (like 10 minutes ago) and it's right in front of my 'work place', the university of Amsterdam! It's one of the oldest cars we have in Holland and it was quite popular in the seventies and eighties! Then there's the beautiful orange color, which is our Dutch proud. When there's soccer, Holland is dressed in orange. And when it's the queens birthday, Amsterdam turns orange. Then there are the leafs surrounding the car! And of course you see bikes in the background. This image couldn't be more typical Amsterdam. The only thing missing would be doves and water, but I've got several pictures of both doves and the waters!!!
It will be a terrible job searching the three best pictures out of the 500 I've made today so maybe I'll make a top 10 and post a few every day the next couple of days.
Wish you succes tomorrow at work!!

What is striking in many Rodeo disciplines is the bond and combined effort between the cowboy and his horse. Of course you can attribute it to training, however when you follow the eyes of the horse, is there doubt that the horse is also in control ? From a photographer view point, I loved the low sun light coming from the side and even if this photo is cropped at 100% which makes the photo rather sureralistic, I believe it adds to the unfolding drama. This photo is part of my action photography series from the great Stroud Rodeo event held the 20-21 Sept’13. via 500px 500px.com/photo/48366404

Water’s power to shape a landscape is spectacularly displayed at Bourke’s Luck Potholes in Mpumalanga, where centuries of river activity have carved out a dramatic and intricate series of natural rock formations and pools.
Bourke’s Luck Potholes in Mpumalanga province are a series of natural geological formations that seem nearer to art than nature. Formed by centuries of water flowing through the landscape, this natural attraction is made up of inter-connected pools, interlaced with sandstone outcrops.
The potholes occur where the Treur River joins the Blyde River at the start of the Blyde River Canyon. In a continuing and centuries-old spectacle, the force of the water in these two rivers, combined with the particles of sand and rock that the rivers' transport, wears cylindrical potholes into the sandstone bedrock.
Over time, some of these potholes merge and new ones form, creating an intricate landscape of deep depressions and outcrops of resistant rock.

Low cost 1/64 modern Chevrolet Camaro models arn't just the preserve of the mighty Hot Wheels brand, Maisto now too have their own version of the 2016 Camaro SS which it uses in its basic range. Its a neat enough casting combining accurate styling with a stock looking paint colour and a smattering of painted detailing, all in all just a typical budget Maisto. Part of a nine vehicle Adventure Force branded set bought from a Wal-Mart where their range is a lot more extensive than the ones we get here in ASDA. Mint and boxed.

Whilst this is not necessarily a favorite with everyone, I think it is one of my favorites, mainly because it was such a fantastic day, weather was wonderful, and not a breath of wind in the late afternoon sun. More about the experience of being out and about taking the picture than the picture itself I think. Oh, and the orange tones in the sky were the result of smoke combining with the late afternoon sun!

This combine is still working on a small farm , this one was registered in 1963 and as a 8ft 6in cut .In 1952 Claeys produced the first European self-propelled combine harvester and by the 1960s, Claeys was one of the biggest combine manufacturers in Europe; in 1964 the majority of Claeys was acquired by Sperry New Holland. In 1967 the company changed the name in Clayson and in 1986 was merged with Ford. In 1991 Ford was acquired by Fiatagri and became New Holland.
Help, maybe it's an age thing, but can anyone confirm wether this is the 1965 edition....or not ?
Allocation dates are up to November 64, so I'm presuming what I think is possibly the obvious, but it doesn't actually say 1965 Edition anywhere.
CP combine 3253 was one of 8 combines numbered 3250-3257 built by the Canadian Car and Foundry in 1924. This class of car or something very similar was a regular car in the Montreal-Boston pool trains run by the CP and B&M. CP also ran mixed trains with combines like these all the way into the diesel era. Its sister 3252 was preserved in Musquodoboit Harbour NS until it was scrapped a few years ago. My Lego model features a highly detailed accurate interior.
On the way to DeSoto Bend the other night, the sun was still relatively high in the sky but dropping rapidly. A combine was kicking up dust as it went through the corn field. I missed the shot, but hoped it would still be out on the way home.
I had my camera ready and waited and waited. Thinking we had already past the field and the combine gone, I turned it off. Then it appeared like a spectre. I took one shot, knowing it was too late as we sped by.
After downloading the photos, this was what I saw. I love it. Everything about it. I wish I could do more of these, but you can't plan happy accidents.
