On the day that it was officially confirmed that Birmingham will be hosting the Commonwealth Games in 2022!

 

Birmingham 2022

 

Could only take it from certain places due to the hoardings in the way for the Centenary Square redevelopment, you can also see it from the other side of Arena Central.

I have always loved the colours of the Paua shell. Jewellery made of Paua shell is a favourite with overseas tourists.

See the faint bow above the bright one? Well, it's called the secondary bow and the bright one is called the primary bow. Primary is VIBGYOR from the bottom-up, while the secondary is ROYGBIV from the bottom. Learn more about rainbows here.

I took this towards the end, i.e., closer to sunset, so it's fading a bit.

 

These are my first rainbow shots. After the slight spell of rain, the sun came out, and created this.
