21/52 weeks of no colour.
And a Monochrome version....you know I like to get a colour version out the way first, except for b&w people, I don't struggle so much turning them b&w, but as my last weeks shot was a b&w Harry I thought I should do something different for this week.

During the months of October and November when the Coquet is in full spate, is the salmon and sea trout leaping onto the stone apron and swimming with grim deternination upstream to their spawning beds.

A 'charm of finches' in silhouette, the highlight of an otherwise dull and colourless Autumn day in Cotgrave Country Park near Nottingham (UK) (1185).
A long telephoto lens is an under-utilized tool for landscape photography, IMO. In this instance, although the impression is otherwise, the considerable distance between island and mountain is sufficient to provide a nearly colourless backdrop, which helps to accent the main subject. The effect would largely be lost with a wider angle of view.
