As the drop recoiled upwards it thinned and collided with the second falling drop.

Loving the results with the new set up.

I remember going with someone over to the Wellington Destructor near this spot to check out the building as word online was it was accessible. It wasn't, but we saw Stan who lived in the incinerator and his cats. We walked around and found this old garage under demolition. It was the first active demolition site I checked out with a freshly reassembled shit fish eye, a Zenit 16 that sheared apart at another location the week before.

This spot wasn't super interesting, but I'm still a sucker for a building with no roof 17 years later.

Skûtsjesilen Langwar 2019 is the first regatta of the sailing season of Skûtsjes. Held in April, the weather is always different and challenging. This weekend we have seen nice clear skies, lots of wind, rain, snow, and sun.

Project 365 // Day 279

There's not much I can say about this shot, hopefully it's pretty self-explanatory. I did a shot similar to this a month ago with some milk and cookies that had a more elaborate setup, so I wanted to try something different – isolating the splash effect. I have to thank my wife for helping me make this shot, having another person makes things much easier. Though as much fun as it to make this shot, it sure does get messy. :)

Another shot inside jubilee Place, Canary Wharf, Docklands, went around with Mark ( code.dude) and we got stopped by the security guards because you need a permit to take photographs here which we did have! I could not believe that floor when we went inside, fabulous place!

In August 2015, I had the great pleasure of taking a week-long photography workshop in Rockport, Maine under the tutelage of Peter Turnley. Its main theme was street photography, and we made several visits to working-class neighborhoods in several Maine towns where (unbeknownst to me) there are large populations of working-class immigrants from Somalia, Sierra Leone, and various other countries around the world.

Most of our “field” exercises were carried out in pairs, threesomes, or foursomes; and in many cases, we were lucky enough to follow along behind Peter Turnley and watch his amazing style and techniques.

But in some cases, I ended up alone — including the first afternoon of the workshop, where I drove a few miles up the road from our classroom, to spend the afternoon looking for photo-ops in the small town of Camden, Maine. Meanwhile, my classmates spent their time in such small Maine towns as Rockport, Rockland, and other picturesque spots along the water.

I’m slightly acquainted with the town, from several previous visits to attend the “PopTech!” technology conferences in the month of October. So I was able to spend far less time worrying about getting utterly lost in a strange place, and more time focusing on the people — mostly tourists, as it turned out — along the streets.

Of the hundreds of photos that I took during that first afternoon, I ended up with about a dozen that I felt were worth sharing with my classmates. This is one of them...

Second attempt at water drop collisions, when the second drop hits the first. Something I am desperate to master but it is very frustrating! Submitting this one to Macro Mondays because it is still my favourite so far :)
