Il a été construit aux Pays-Bas et a un navire jumeau, le Stad Amsterdam, naviguant sous le pavillon des Pays-Bas.

Il a subi un accident en Équateur lorsqu'il est entré en collision avec un pont à Guayaquil en raison du fort courant.

The Cisne Branco is a Brazilian sailboat performing diplomatic and public relations functions. Its mission is to represent the country in national and international nautical events. She is also used as a school ship.

It was commissioned by the Navy for the celebrations of the 500th anniversary of the Discovery of Brazil and allowed participating in the commemorative crossing of the Atlantic with a sailboat.

I threw myself into the sand like a combat soldier and started snapping shots of the little skunk digging for sand crabs. Sometimes the camera had trouble focusing because of all the airborne sand whizzing by.

Then, the skunk decided to move to another location and started walking directly towards me! At first I thought, cool, now I can get some close-ups. But he kept coming closer and closer! How long should I stay in my position?? I was certainly at the preferable end of him at this moment, and he seemed relaxed and not in need of desperate defensive measures ... but ultimately it was I who lost my nerve and backed out of the situation! I think he might've come right up to sniff me!

He wasn't really as big as he appears here. It was fun to get a full frontal view with the sun highlighting his white punk hair!
