This is the collaboration between *Lani and I for "The Divine Diptych Project."
This is a diptych project by a group of female photographers who have known each other a long time on Flickr. The project matchs two of us together each week with a different theme to interpret how we want, on an individual basis. We then create a diptych using each of our photographs. The only thing Lani and I agreed upon before we shot our images this week was that we would both shoot in B&W and portrait style.
We are both quite happy with the end result as we think that both images together tell an interesting story. ;)
The results of the collabrations are being posted on a blog, which you can find here ...

When I thought of horror I instantly thought of the feeling one sometimes gets when seeing spiders. I believe that Quizz feels the same way about ghosts.

29th September 2016 at Milton Court, London EC2 (supporting Marouane Hajji).
Part of Transcender Festival.
Country: Morocco. Style: Sufi Music.
Lineup: Bachir Attar (v/ghaita/gunbri/lira), Ahmed Bakhat (v/violin/taarija), Mustapha Attar (v/ghaita/lira//taarija), Abdeleslam El Moudene (v/ghaita/t'bel), Abdellah Bakhzar (v/t'bel/darbuka), Mohammed El Attar (v/t'bel).
The Jebala musicians from the village of Zahjoukah (or Joujouka or Jajouka or any other Westernisations of its name) in the Rif Mountains of northern Morocco became famous internationally in the 1960s through the attention of various Western writers, poets and Rock musicians. For several decades there have been two rival groups claiming to be the "true" embodiment (distinguishable through different spellings of the village name). This one owes it claim to hereditory succession of the leader (apparently something not followed in the past), and has been far more successful in being invited on international tours and cross-cultural musical collabrations (due to the leaders ability to speak English and his spells living in New York), but has the lesser presence in the village. I saw this group in London in 2009 during Ornette Coleman's Meltdown Festival. Both supporting Coleman in the Royal Festival Hall and doing one of their own performance on the terrace outside.

a collaborative effort from 24 artists living in Dublin city, and hung in The Bernard Shaw. It was always meant to be a fun concept from which the original Piece was drawn by Dublin artist Chris Judge. Its 24feet long and 4 feet high – also nobody had a clue what the final piece would look like. All the images are best viewed large to see the detail.

Our themes this week were all homonyms and ours was "stars". When I found out what our theme was I instantly knew that I had to take an image with my moon mask. I wanted to show the moon lying back and staring at the stars like the rest of us do sometimes.
I am also really glad that both of our images are similar in that we are both looking up at the stars!
