Unmolded the soap today, the ph looks good as does the soap! So time for it to cure a few weeks. Should be ready in time for xmas!

I'll be unmolding the little molds tomorrow, they need a little more time to sit and chill out.

I did manage to get a couple of bar shaped pieces from my salt bar semi-disaster.

A freshly poured batch of a new soap, made with nettle tea. It smells very fresh and invgorating, and will be a definite wake-me-up in the shower!

I found this sweet soap dish when I was in NB last week - I love it!

This Yuzu swap soap was made by Joanna of Product Body, and it smells amazing! I love to give it a sniff every now and then, which is why it hasn't been used up yet.

I thought making soap with wine would be a great way to use that wine that's sat in the fridge too long! Here I'm making soap with white wine from a local winery as the liquid. Wine does some interesting things when it reacts with lye even ice cold. First it turns yellow. Then it turns orange. Then it boils and bubbles. And as it cools back down it turns dark brownish orange. Keep your eyes peeled for this intriguing new DIY coming soon to Soap Deli News blog.
