Decided to make a nice Castile soap today. No scent in this one. I didn't take a Mise en Place photo for this either because, well, it would have been some olive oil, some castor oil, some water and the lye....not too exciting! When I make it again I'll take a Mise photo :).

I made enough to fill my 2 pound loaf mold and have enough left over to fill all of the other weird little molds I have on hand. Hooray for sheep molds!

Can't wait to see how this one turns out (if it turns out...).

Just trying to get a marbled effect on the soap again today...we shall see how this one works out. I used mica for the color and Tangerine Essential oil for fragrance. Fingers crossed I swirled it nicely!

Gel Stage started about an hour or two after I had this one in the mold. This photo was taken in the cool down from Gel stage, so it's not quite as translucent and dark as it was. I can't wait to cut this one tomorrow!

It's ready! The gorgeous colour comes from real organic carrot juice - I'm really happy with this batch. It feels wonderful to hold, has a great texture, and smells like a health food store (howood essential oil). What more could you ask for?
