black color is activated charcoal which is pure carbon that is specially processed to make it highly particle absorbent. Activated charcoal is used to absorb excess oils and impurities, neutralize poisons and toxins from the skins surface and a mild exfoliator.

Just finished this one up tonight....I'm hoping it turns out..doing a bit of layering with some swirls and stuff.... Honeyed Fig scent. Hope that works out too!
This hot process soap smells like a house after cleaning day - a pleasant fresh scent with a hint of lemon. It's made with a rich blend of moisturizing oils, including vitamin e.
Making soap with organic carrot juice, wheat germ oil and a few other oils. The wheat germ oil is a beautiful amber color. I am hoping this soap holds it's orange hue as it heats up and goes into its gel stage. Should be interesting to cut it tomorrow!
Just my table set up at the Brookfield Farmer's Market. My sisters sell handmade cards and such there and I have a little table for my soaps. I may need to take over a little bit of their table in the future....we shall see.
I'm there every third Saturday each month...through October I think...

I played with these new letter stamps on some bars of soap. This bar is Peppermint Poppyseed, and I tried 'BB', since my brand is 'Birch Bark Soap'. I can't decide if I should stamp the soaps with the letters or not... what do you think? I also wrap each bar in a sleeve with all of the necessary information. Any ideas?
Unmolded the soap today, the ph looks good as does the soap! So time for it to cure a few weeks. Should be ready in time for xmas!
I'll be unmolding the little molds tomorrow, they need a little more time to sit and chill out.
Each and every batch of Wix & Whacks' Cold Process Soap is made from a highly moistuizing recipe and is left to cure for atleast 4 weeks to insure a nice hard long lasting mild bar of soap. Each bar has its own wonderful artistic qualities as no 2 bars are exactly alike.
This soap is made with brewed Red Rose tea and real lemon juice, and has a mild and fresh lemon scent. It's made from rich moisturizing oils including vitamin e.
I made this batch of hot process soap using my new pipe mold. It's a perfect spicy blend of essential oils, and is made with authentic Captain Morgan spiced rum. It has beautiful lather, which makes it a perfect shaving soap.

This is the richest soap I could come up with! Cocoa butter and peppermint essential oil give this its minty chocolate fragrance. It's a smooth bar with rich lather, perfect for shaving.

This is a custom order for a beer soap for an Australian couple living here in Canada. She wanted the soap to have an Australian flavour to it and He didn't want it girlie lol. So here is Aussie Reef Luxury Shea Butter Beer Soap! The beer used to make this soap is Victoria Bitter or VB as it is affectionately referred to in Australia. It is Australia's best selling beer. I scented this soap with Lemon Myrtle Essential Oil and a touch of Eucalyptus Essential Oil both Australian in origin. The colour comes naturally from Australian Red Reef Clay.
